A hero's final rest. #lego #bionicle

A colourful drawing of line art and watercolour of bionicle Toa Tahu. The Red Orange one. Resting against a tree in the woods. At his feet are the 5 masks of all the other original bionicles heroes. A Spot of sunshine comes through the trees. Wide enough to form a circle in the shape of Tahu and ailluminate him in the otherwise dark forest. Toa is covvered in rust and dust. Leafs spout from his shoulders and mask. His plating looks old and battered. One may wonder how long he has been here.

"There, there, Kickback. You'll be alright, alright." "That's the problem. I'm already all right." (If anyone gets a Kickback with two left hands, please let me know.)

Just noticed my Studio Series 86 Kickback has two right hands. Sigh. Already binned the box too.

It takes a certain type of sadism to schedule school photos at the end of the parent-teacher conference period. "Why do all the teachers look like they haven't slept for two weeks this year?" "Because they haven't."

Optimus - war is so violent and dangerous, look at Megatron's arm.

Wheeljack - Prime, will you stop showing us that!

(sound of doorbell) DING DONG!

Megatron - do you have my arm?

Optimus - ..no?

Will I wake up tomorrow cautiously optimistic, or feeling complete dread at the prospect of four more years of late stage capitalism cozying up to fascism? I hate election nights...

Now in colour, courtesy of Mike Spicer who works with Daniel Warren Johnson on Skybound TF:

The above image, now in full colour with a grey smoky background. The civillians are in shadow underneath Optimus Prime's bulky form, in contrast to the bright muzzle flashes from the ICE agents shooting impotently at Prime's face.

Bird of Prey (Samus Aran from Metroid Ravenous)

Digital painting portraying the Nintendo character Samus Aran, from the Metroid series, as a ravenous creature on top of a totem.
Samus, a woman wearing a full futuristic space suit with giant round shoulders and an arm canom, crouches on top of a totem while holding a pink flame with a off-putting bird claw shaped hand. Her arm canom on the other hand oozes a yellow substance. She looks at the camera like she has just noticed us.

A quick PSA about Synergenex Evangelion Prime. The jaw on the Eva-face is *NOT* on a hinge. It's on a downward slider. If you try and work it like a hinge it will likely break.

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

"Be strong enough to be gentle" Rust in peace Peter Cullen.

A colourful chill isometric drawing. hand drawn and coloured. Optimus is chilling, sitting behind a barn in a farmland. looking at the birds that just landed on his arm. It’s a nice summer sunset.
