Ran Elves to the top of our "Off the Top Rope" modified Premodern event! Any card which involved touching a deck (drawing, searching, milling, shuffling) was disallowed. No IDs. Rounds moved quickly without all that pesky shuffling. Great event with 100% of entry to charity🏆

Took down the Premodern weekly on UW Tide 🏆 Haven’t 3-0’d a weekly since March. Been getting whooped in the finals every time 🙃 This week I played like a donkey, while pairing into all killers, and still somehow got there. Deck carried, but we take those 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🌊❌🌊 Stompy 🌊🌊 Lan D Hoath ❌🌊🌊 Lan D Hoath

🏆 From the "Unchained" side event at Lobstercon, in which each player "unbanned" one card from the Premodern ban list for their deck. Turns out jamming FOW into the best deck is pretty good. The Remoras in the board did a lot of work! 🦈 #mtgpremodern #mtgmiddleschool

But I’ve also seen Tribe decks max out on both Call and Wayfarer, the two cards I most expected to miss 🤷

000

SWB @swbmtg.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

It’s easy to get over Call when 2G gets you a 4/4 trample and 3G gets you a 6/6. And thanks to the Deep Analyses I wasn’t running out of cards and still had things to do with my mana other than make a 3/3 for 4

100

SWB @swbmtg.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

I like it in theory, but on the night it mostly provided evasion and there were times I wished it were instead Wonder so that I could get the evasion without spending the three mana

010

SWB @swbmtg.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

I wanted to add Call of the Herd before I played a single game with the deck, but decided to trust the friend who gave me their list after they told me I wouldn’t miss it. Also I don’t think Call is positioned as strongly right now as several months ago
