Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 19hI didn't misread it and still did a double take. I'm glad you clarified. 010
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 19hIt's going to be a PITA if I have to repay that since it went to assorted Democratic candidates an hour after it arrived. 030
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 08/10/2026So what's your theory? Covid was a fairly unique event so it isn't ludicrous to think it impacts perceptions. 010
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I think it was in pretty wide usage during George W Bush's presidency. 100
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 28/09/2026We could be heading for a schism on the right as usually Jesus gets credit for victories/comebacks/touchdowns. 020
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 26/09/2026This is a chance to repent of your evil ways and leave the devil's IO. 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 26/09/2026That being said, I thought it was going to theaters and I'm not sure about D+. So maybe you're just crazy! :) 120
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 26/09/2026You're not imagining it. They released it with new material. 130

Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 24/09/2026If there is a big swing in the Texas legislature too then the blame games will be spectacular. 020
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Depends what they lose. If it is only Talarico winning statewide they will blame Paxton and double down. Abbott losing also will be harder to spin, but he is less important than the LG so there will be lots of hand waving. If the gerrymander blows up in their face they can blame Abbott. 120
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Trump himself drew less than 60% of white voters in 2024. I didn't think Congress was more popular than he was. 130
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Nobody should ever think that just because her husband screwed around on her that she is in any way an admirable person. 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Interestingly they mentioned Abbott and the local state rep but not a word about Pacton. 140
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I live in Texas in a district with a sycophantic Trump loving congressman (just to set the stage). The other day I got a door knocker coming around to make sure I was going to vote for Abbott for governor. I can't remember the last time they felt the need to deploy people to my area. 130
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 20/09/2026How much farther was Maye supposed to throw that ball to Doubs? 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 18/09/2026At least there are less of the insane wire they were strapping down toys with a few years ago. 021
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 18/09/2026It was so incongruous having a modern Democrat from Alabama it addles our memories. 040
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Careful there. You are thinking about politics instead of ideological purity. 020
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 18/09/2026A drunk successfully driving home doesn't mean they should be congratulated. 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 17/09/2026At least you don't ever have to wonder if making a chart was a good idea. 110
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I was wondering the exact same thing when I saw the picture. 010
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I wonder if he wears a mitre with a propeller on top when he is doing geek stuff like tech support. 080
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 15/09/2026If you go all the way back to the top you'll see I agree with you that Collins is VERY formidable. /I'll have to check on that reply setting 110
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Fair. It's not some kind of monolithically blue state. I'm not confusing it with Hawaii, but the majority of the votes (and hence 3 of 4 EVs) have gone Blue for 30 years. So it's not bonkers to think of it as leaning blue overall. 110
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Do the officers lose access to the Flock data while on paid vacation? 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Really curious who would win a debate between Mitch and Tommy Tuberville. 000
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026As to your earlier comment Minnesota would be shocking. I'm a little closer to "Maine" feeling on New Hampshire. 100
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026But candidates matter. It's all a semantic debate regardless. Overjoyed to be having these senate discussions though. January 2025 me absolutely didn't think this is what we would be discussing. 110
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Minnesota would be a shock indeed. New Hampshire could be pretty tight. The Maine should go blue case is really based on this is a blue year and ticket splitting is really disappearing so a state with a 30 year history of voting Dem in the presidential should be in the "should be blue" category. 100
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I think we can at least agree that Maine is going to be a challenge for the Democrats. 100
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Hence my comment. In a vacuum, Maine should head blue, but Susan Collins doesn't lose elections. 110
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026It's a state that has gone Dem for president since 1992 so in a very blue year like 2026 you would think it would lean that way. 100
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026You should be right, but Susan Collins in like Rasputin so I just can't feel comfortable about Maine. 1380
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 14/09/2026There are people who say they hate salmiakki and people who lie. 250
Sean @swblather.bsky.social · 12/09/2026You could have at least included a brain bleach coupon with that half-hearted apology. 030
