iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

TL;DR - Some characters, concepts and mysteries will remain unsolidified until Chapter 5 releases, to avoid locking in ideas that may age poorly or collide with future developments.

020

We probably won't be doing this much for Chapters 6 and 7 after the release of CH5, but we'll see how we feel about that after the release based on how much it clarifies. As a result 6 and 7 might be sort of distinct from the base game's chapters, but I anticipate that that will work in our favor.

So like for instance our version of Image_Friend currently has little to no lore because we don't believe we have enough context on base Friend to build a well-developed swap around.

This includes a couple side characters being saved to be swapped with Ch5 characters, ongoing mysteries like Friend and the Forgotten Man being intentionally vague until we have a good enough idea of what they are to know what to do with them here, etc.

Wee Woo Wee Woo important clarification! To avoid basing stuff off of unconfirmed assumptions and to be able to properly build off of plot points, some specific concepts, characters and plot threads will be saved until post-CH5

Not so fun fact, yesterday I was planning to upload Swapdrune Kris' theme, but I procrastinated on it too much and when it came down to it I couldn't make a song that sounded good to me, so, in lack of any art to post today, here are my very unfinished drafts for Kris' "Girl Next Door" for Swapdrune

Rouxler- Lancer's swap! He wants to be a ruler, but at the end of the day he's just a ruler

Almost left this little sponge behind.. Kris! Still just as non-binary, but not quite as blue! Kris takes Noelle's place.

Updated design for Tennant, based on some original concepts for Tenna by Tricky Tony himself! Information about characters will be revealed in the ref sheets as seen below (of course Tenna is our most developed character so far lol)

082

Design for Spamton (Postman) and an earlier design of Tenna (Tennant)! Tennant replaces Spamton Postman replaces Tenna

0112

Basic design references for the Fun Gang themselves! Noelle takes the place of Kris Berdly (Jerkly) takes the place of Susie Ember replaces Ralsei.

Of course, the point of Swap'dRune is not to compete with others like Rewritten, but to provide an alternative take at Underswap's concepts when applied to Deltarune, being unique while still keeping Deltarune's best strengths in check. TL;DR: It's cool. Consume. Our shit. Deltaruners.

030

We're hoping to have a good time and make some cool shit, and the characters we've designed and written for it are already shaping up to be some of the favorites we've made.

While Swap'dRune is still in it's infancy in terms of actual progress, we've had the idea ever since the new chapters and have decided to finally get some cool shit done for it! We can't promise anything, especially since it's just a fun passion project based on something we love, but..

Anyway... Swap'dRune is a Deltarune AU project based on similar projects such as TS!Underswap and Chapter Rewritten! @starlitemusic.bsky.social is doing the art, designs, and music while @pccrasher42069.bsky.social is writing the story and helping with concept art.

Ride forth into fate, as Penumbra awaits.

Heed this message, hear the call from the deep. Leave what's NEO behind, and let what's old put you to sleep. It's time for a new adventure, one you've never seen before. A twisted shape of the gone, shaped from the shadow of reality's gore.

Well, NEO to you, that is. Of course, this world predates existence itself. Or does it spawn from it..? Only your eyes can tell.

Come now, FOLLOWERS, journey into the mist. A NEO world awaits, with many adventures amidst.

Ripples upon ripples, from the singing in the depths, It seems that world has drawn its first breath.

Ah, ah, the oar that pierces the darkness finally takes form. Oh, oh, a place of NEVER that provides safety from the storm.
