♂ Scaup still today & brief Arctic Tern. Reasonable no.s of duck but no Pochard! Singles of Grey Plover, Dunlin, Redshank & Common Sandpiper & few Lapwing the only waders. Lots of Chiffchaff & a few of both ‘crests’ but no passerines of note. @joestockwell.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Canada Goose Utd have the ball but Coot City are defending well, lots of fowls in the game but still 0-0 as it stands! The Mute Swan crowd are not impressed! ⚽️ 😁

It was @webs-gsmp.bsky.social count day on the Fleet today. Gutted that the 30+ Greylags didn’t appear in my Rodden to Shipmoor sector. Surely a reserve record. My best was heard only Brambling. In Swannery sector @joestockwell.bsky.social had r-t Hen Harrier, ♂ Scaup, 5 Great & 234 Cattle Egrets.

Eclipse Drake Scaup present for 2nd day, slightly hesitant on its purity yesterday as a duck we'reseeing less and less and less of each year let alone in this plumage! @swannerysteve.bsky.social

A little online research would suggest that the parish church would seem to be the only large building present in 1920, that might be enticing to a passing Wallcreeper. Any Manor House if present appears to have long gone by then. 🤔

Fresh juvenile Willow Warbler? Far brighter yellow than adults & have a repeating hu-itt call similar to Chiffchaff but with emphasis on first syllable not second.
