World Rivers Day 2026 This World Rivers Day we are leaving you with a message from our member Bernie from the Environmental Forum. The River Bandon was known as the Goddess River. A sign of the vital importance it once held and still holds. But are we treating our rivers like a Goddess?

If your swimming spot was one of the nearly 40 swimming spots that had swim restrictions due to the risk of pollution over the sunny weekend, you may be wondering how Ireland compares to the rest of Europe for bathing water quality. We're very much below average 🙁 Govt needs to do much more.
