Concerning if true. McNeill and Swallow have a hand in building the universe and as much as I adore the new blood I think some of the old hands are needed to shape the epic theatrical drama of 40k. I also think classic writing would be refreshing. Remember the OTT drama of Thor? I miss that.

These books sold for 13 quid each. Games Workshop has created one of the best worlds and has some of the best sci fi and fantasy writers working for them and yet the books are just not making it into the hands of readers. Instead their lore is being peddled (inaccurately) by third parties...

Me deciding to make a yt channel about Warhammer novels then realising I can only identify themes of Fraternity, Loyalty and Grief.

Finished Blood of Iax. Really quick, cozy, easy read. I've had a friend in my DMs raving for ages about the Ventris novels and McNeill always delivers. Aside. How nice is this cover? (I have not finished Inquisitor. Chat, boo this man).

I went to UKGE but didn't take any pics so here's a doodle my friend did of me in the air BnB hot tub.

Second hand booksellers love to see me coming. As much as I love telling an author I'm reading/rereading their book, there's something very special when a friend says you've bought a favourite. Also I didn't know Westerfield wrote anything besides Uglies which I love I'm so excited.

I was today years old when I learned that Warhammer has a free education programme to introduce young people into the hobby and is part of Duke of Edinburgh and there's even a Scouts badge!? (I want one) Is this wide knowledge and I just didn't know, this is great. What a fantastic thing.

RE: Darktide update I love being sexy and right always. (It makes no narrative sense for how character driven the story is)

I am unironically having a great time reading Inquisitor.

I know I wanna do proper dives into characters and themes but I also want to make a jokey video about a recurring trope a WH writer uses.

Always feels good to be back on the hobby horse. Been spending my free time bouncing between building kill teams and playing Dark Souls. There's 4 teams here ready to be primed.

Hell yeah! I made my boy in BG3 too and all he's done is make bad decisions. He can't help it though, he has 8 INT.

Streamed Dark Souls for my bestie all weekend. It's been so chill, this game is such a vibe.

Finished reading Metro 2033 and I immediately want to reread Metro 2033. But I want to read a book by a Scottish author about the tragic third son of a king who, in seeking perfection to emulate his father is instead seized by chaos and corrupted into something grotesque. It's called Fulgrim...

I think Black Library really know they've found so amazing in Reid. She understands so well the core themes and concepts of the characters and her writing is always such a pleasure, even in the grimmest darkest moments it feels like she's so happy to play in the WH sandbox.

I had never heard of crop milk before right now. That's honestly amazing. Also I have birdtax. Saw this mama and her so many lil babies yesterday. They're in a basin with locks on both sides so I hope they're safe enough to thrive.

2/2000 Did I, or did I not get the best copy of Perfect Son. So close to perfection. So close I can feel it. Smell it. See it. Taste it. But cannot hold it. Can only imagine.

ANOTHER ROB YOUNG W. He can't keep getting away with writing my favs. This is two for two. And his first time writing mreems? Very excited. I've not kept up with Dawn of Fire but I've a huge soft spot for Ferren.
