Hiya friend. Good to hear from you. All is good on the mountain. The temps have dropped slightly. Woke up to 37 this morning. The rut is thankfully coming to an end. Lots of all night symphony from the Big Boi's. Just got done with hauling wood, now to finish stacking it. Hope this finds you well!

Good question. He hasn't been kicked out of the herd yet. Last year, there was a 4 pointer that stayed with the cows the entire year. The bulls usually only stay with the cows during rutting season, which is end of August to the beginning of October for us here on the mountain. About 6 weeks.

We discovered it a few years ago. Our fire chief suggested it. Everyone up here on the mountain uses it. It even has wind direction and flood plains.

Do you guys have the watch duty app? We use that to inform us of any fires nearby. You can enter your county, or any county for that matter, and recieve updates. It will also inform you if you have to evacuate.

Ah yes, binaural beats are fun. I was not aware of yours, thank you. I will give it a gander. Years ago, I discovered Robert Monroe and the Monroe Institute. Reading his books helped me tremendously, in understanding what I was experiencing. He created Hemisync. I found those to be helpful as well.

Truth! For me, the challenge was, and continues to be, to embrace and love my shadowside as much as my light side( I call it my warrior side and healer side) Like you, I meditate daily and have been since age 14. Practicing mindfulness. This helps me keep the balance. Happy Day, my dear friend!

Yup, I counted at least 5 elk that were carrying. Once they deliver the littles, they will bring them by to introduce them to me. I will certainly share photos once this happens. We have maybe another week for the swallow littles to be born. Such a fun time of the year, all this new life.
