Marvel‘s Luke Cage is ten years old. Two great seasons. First-rate entertainment, just like the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Things then took a disappointing turn with The Defenders. After that, the MCU started to bore me. #LukeCage

ChatGPT is adding the signatures of real New Yorker cartoonists to its AI-generated images. So far, I've found the signatures of more than 15 contributors. "It’s slop, and unlike the other slop that I’ve encountered, this is slop that’s pretending to be me." www.niemanlab.org/2026/10/chat...

I think he met Hellboy! 😂

I‘m on a very good way! 👊

Perfect. When I had health issues earlier this year I had the same recovery plan. It‘s a good one! ❤️

And everybody‘s talking about the end of the US empire. A bit early maybe. Sad to say that Trump and his goons did damn well. The have Europe and most of the Americas in the pocket, get Brazil this month… and I don’t think that the next US elections will hurt them. 🥶

Sounds great! I wish you a speedy recovery. Hey, you could watch some movies or read a book or two the next days. How‘s that? 🙂

It‘s not #LetterboxdFriday but here are my #LastFourWatched Herr Arnes pengar by M. Stiller - a GREAT film! F1 - stupid, generic, but with a great cast who delivers. It's embarrassing, but I had fun 💩 The Leopard Man - Lewton! Tourneur! The old dark House - well made Universal horror by James Whale

Gedenken wir also heute lieber Chlodwig Poth.

Great moments in Scottish engineering history: James Watt tries to work out how his phone attaches to his selfie stick.

Statue of James Watt. In his right hand he holds a telescopic stick with a frame at the top; in his left he holds a flat object about the size of a large smartphone. He is scowling at the possibly-not-a-smartphone as if he is tempted to yeet it into the sea. On that basis, it probably _is_ a phone.
