Actually, WW2 has shown that neglecting military deterrence encourages military aggression. As have russian invasions of 2014 and 2022. The cold war has shown that deterrence does actually work. I'm sorry. I'd love a humanity where this is not needed, but as it stands, dreamers feed aggressors.

Get a scythe. Saves gym membership (if your garden is big enough, not loud (until you cut your own foot), allows nature friendly higher, less frequent cuts, so you can turn a dead lawn into a meadow with wild flowers and bees. Start carefully. I remember my das taught me, when I was 14.

How could trump graduate at all from Wharton? Another proof (remember George W Bush?) that no degree from any US university is worth the paper it's printed on. If someone with a US degree applies, I must test as if they have no degree, because it could be based on money, connections, or sports.

We also had a bright top guy once, who rose from tough circumstances. It is assumed shooting himself saved him from the gallows in Nuremberg. Then, looking at the not so bright top guy in DC: if his crimes would be proberly judged, he'd be lucky to be in a state with no capital punishment.

Don't be ridiculous. The absolute number of voters is irrelevant. Fact is: most adult Cinese are not allowed to vote in the party election. That's like allowing only vetted Republicans to vote in the US. Which probably is what Fox and Trump love about the Chinese system.

Started watching #Football ("soccer" for barbarians") and lost interest in the World Cup before this game even started. The "with maximum ado" approach suggests to me the sport is irrelevant. In my Saarland home, we'd say "Was for a Zohres!". ("what a fuss" isn't quite translating it)

Well, I hate Brexit and it did do Britain a huge disservice, but to be fair: If the UK can offer automated gates and quick entry to EU citizens (and many other), then the EU should be able to do the same for Brits. There are a lot of childish revenge-obstacles in place helping neither side.

Support #conservation as a #safari tourist #4: Walk! Walking is less intrusive than driving. Keeps soil intact, doesn't risk oil or diesel spillage. Note that walking humans still may scare animals, as they are not neutral boxes like cars. Make sure to have a good, qualified walking guide...(1/2)
