🎉🐬 Very excited to share the publication of my second PhD chapter in Molecular Ecology: Check it out here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... (& hit me up if you wanna talk seascape genomics!) Very briefly:

Whole‐Genome‐Sequencing Reveals Demographic History and Patterns of Parallel Adaptive Evolution in Indo‐Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) Across Coastal Australian Seascapes
Understanding how demographic dynamics interact with environmental heterogeneity is central to explaining patterns of genomic variation in the marine realm. Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops...

Exactly one month ago today, I defended my PhD and I am still in awe - in awe of how many people showed up for me and in awe of the culmination of a five‑year journey. 🎓🐬 a hell of a journey full of spectacular field moments, R-marathons, nights of doubt, failures, and moments of success.

🎉 Excited to share the 2nd chapter of my PhD! From 270 eDNA samples across Shark Bay (🇦🇺), we identified 106 fish species and mapped their diversity with remote sensing — all non-invasively! 🌊🐠 A scalable framework for characterising marine biodiversity 🔗 doi.org/10.1111/ddi.70074

Integrating Environmental DNA Metabarcoding and Remote Sensing Reveals Known and Novel Fish Diversity Hotspots in a World Heritage Area
Aim Shark Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Western Australia, is highly vulnerable to climate change, yet its fish biodiversity remains poorly understood at fine spatial scales. We integrated en...
