My FPS in Wardogs, dips into the 7fps regions every few seconds. How are games still running like this in 2026? This is on a 5080, 5900X, NVME and 32GB of RAM.

Then I got some plexiglass and wooden slats. Got the shop I ordered the plexiglas from to cut me two circular holes into it and it slots right into my existing windows. Yeah it cost quite a bit, I'd say all of the mods are roughly 100€. But it's 100% worth it to me.

You're correct, that's why I just ordered another hose off of amazon, got a fuckton of tape and sealed that shit tight. Now I've got one hose for the intake (taking air from the outside) and one for the outlet (pushing the hot air out the window).

100% agree! It's crazy how your mood changes if you have this available. I'm renting a cheap commuter bike, like the one in the picture, that I can just lock to the lamppost outside and don't have to worry about it getting stolen and it's the best thing ever.

This thing is so sick! Literally 50 bucks. Loads Neural Amp Modeler captures, boots up in like 10 seconds and can act as a USB Audio Interface. Only downside is NAM captures can only be loaded with half-precision and no separate CAB/IR.

Apparently there's a type of malware going round masquerading as a CloudFlare page that has a "verify I'm human" step now that tells you to paste arbitrary commands into your terminal.

Finished reading Neuromancer on the trainride home yesterday. Fantastic book and the first fiction book I've read to completion in years. I'm just sad that I haven't read it sooner. But it also sparked the desire to read more books again, which is great!

Went to the bookstore today and they had this beautifully illustrated cover version of the Dune series. And on that beautiful cover there was a big round note saying "Now a major motion picture" completely ruining the cover for me because of course they couldn't make it a sticker...

If you're in Den Haag I highly recommend checking out the Escher Museum. It's really worth it seeing his prints up close. So much work and such intricate detail. Love it!

Word! I also think the RX480/580 Sapphire Nitro is top 5 gpu designs. Sleek, simple, no bling. Still holds up very nicely. Kind of wish I hadn't sold mine.

Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us.

So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.

I ordered a new bag of guitar picks the other day, Dunlop Tortex Jaz III .88mm, same as always. Unpacked them and took the first one. Immediately felt something was off. Took my caliper and lo and behold: They're actually 0.95mm! Turns to be a bag of misprints. Funny how the human body works!
