The 4th of October. Went to a fall fair. Saw a friend. Bought a really pretty little pumpkin. Hell yeah. 🍂

On a wooden shelf, three little pumpkins, the two in the back are yellow and in front is a slightly bigger one, white and so perfectly shaped that it almost looks plastic.

An evening walk during sundown. Fields topped with a blanket of fog. Bats flying in front of the big, bright full moon. Coming home to a tall cold glass of apple juice. How good is fall??

I was reminded of a memory from geography class where the teacher said 'hot air rises' and me asking why and him saying 'it just does, okay?' and I HATED it. Now I figured, what the hell, I have the internet, I should answer my question. I did. Now I understand. Weight of my shoulders I tell ya!

A Dutch tradition I love is the annual child postage stamp campaign where kids aged around 10 get a sales packet at school and go around neighborhoods selling postage stamps and cards. All profits go to the children's charity running the campaign, which has existed for over 100 years.

Making a scrapbook about your holiday is all fun and games until you're stuck thinking about how to properly, visually document the really nice parking garage you found on day one. I suspect this is going to be a long process.

I rarely pick up murder mysteries but this was a perfect cozy read to start the autumn season!!🍂 Quirky town, sweet family bonds and a delicious athmosphere filled with baking, gardening, PJ's, teas and a roaring fire. Oh and some sleuthing of course! In the Company of Witches - Auralee Wallace

I love owning DVD's. I felt sick today and all I wanted was to lay in bed watching Criminal Minds for a few hours. Hassle to see what streaming service has that show now? Budgetting to afford a new subscription? Nah, I just got out my DVD's and got back into bed.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

How to get to heaven from Belfast is so good, I didn't know they made Netflix originals with quality like that?? Besides the tight writing and the fantastic actors, it just looks... SO good. Set design, costuming, lighting, cinematography, everything that so many modern shows lack!

I have never felt more peaceful than walking through a small village in the Yorkshire Dales, delicious pasty in hand, watching views that stretch for miles without a single reminder of modern life, while a brook babbles next to me, promising the sight of a waterfall.

There used to be a useless patch of grass 5 minutes from my house. A couple of years ago, they stopped mowing it. Fast forward to today, and you can hear the bees buzzing, watch the dragonflies pass by and feast your eyes on an array of pretty wildflowers, in the lovely cool shadow of the trees!
