It's all got me thinking about the tools that bacteria provide for us. From CRISPR to recombinant human insulin, bacteria provide so much for science. One of my favourites is Xantham gum, a baking ingredient, produced from sugar by Xanthomonas campestris zurl.co/mm5c1 #biology #bacteria #biotech
