#34 Raging Bytes I discovered this game while watching a video about modern survival horror and this one had a unique twist... it's survival horror × JRPG and was really cool! Definitely worth checking out for fans of both genres. 8/10

#33 Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream I really had a good time with this one. Stealth adventure that each encounter felt like a puzzle to solve, using multiple characters each with different skills. Gorgeous visuals, great voice acting, characters, and story as well. 9/10

#32 Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 At times it felt like this was an unnecessary sequel due to Senua going through a whole arc in the forst game, but it was still a great game. Incredible visuals too. 8.5/10

#30 .hack//G.U. Vol.1 Finally getting around to play this series. I absolutely love PS2 era RPGs. This was a decent start, although Haseo was an ASSHOLE lol he did seem to be getting better towards the end. Will start Vol 2 soon. 7.5/10

#29 Binary Domain (replay) Haven't played this in about 14 years (wtf even is time!?) still holds up, even if there is some minor jankiness to it. Really wish Sega and RGG would remaster it or make a sequel that the ending setup for. 😭 9/10

A few deliveries from this past week! Got Omori and Metal Slug Tactics on good sales, and no American physical release of Eriksholm so imported the European version. And picked up a few books that looked interesting.

#27 Opus: Prism Peak A thought provoking narrative adventure/puzzle game about grief and regrets from the past. The puzzle elements using photography and trying to decipher who each character was from his past were fun. Performance on Switch 2 was pretty bad though. 8/10

#25 Pragmata I was intrigued by what this was going to be when it was first announced 6 years ago and the final product did not disappoint. This was a blast to play from start to finish. Capcom is showing the AAA industry how it should be done lately. 10/10

This took me WEEKS to work on because I could have easily chose several for many of these, like for best combat I have favorites for best action and turn based. But I think this is ok... for now. Downside of liking too many kinds of games: stuff like this is very hard to choose. 😂

#24 Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Great game with a few minor flaws. Loved the art style and how they kept it feeling like a classic JRPG. Went a little longer than I felt it should have, some of the music got a little repetitive. 8/10

#22 Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog An interesting sci-fi mystery VN with an old school '90s era anime art style. I enjoyed my time with it but wish a little more was explained at the end. Feels like it could be left open for a sequel. 7.5/10

#21 Cronos: The New Dawn Bloober clearly learned from their work on the Silent Hill 2 remake. This was their best original game. My only major complaint being the lack of a map... need a map for survival horror! 8/10

#19 The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker First ever playthrough! I really enjoyed most of it, the wind temple was a little annoying but not too bad. But that Triforce quest... that hurt the game a bit for me. The most irritating task I had to do in a game in a long time. 8/10

#18 Onimusha 2 It's been over 20 years since I played this, and it's still one of my favorites. I hope someday Capcom remasters 3 and Dawn of Dreams. Until then, I am very excited for the return of the series with Way of the Sword later this year. 9/10

With how bad most of last year was, and the first few months of this year, I'm just trying to find some kind of joy and happiness in things again. Hoping focusing on the games I'm playing and my trip to Japan in a few months will help with that.

#17 Resident Evil Requiem Easily in my top 3 of the series now. From start to finish this game was phenomenal. I didn't want to stop playing and immediately wanted to jump back in to start again. Capcom continues to be one of the best developers out there, they have not missed in years! 11/10

#16 Trails to Azure I *finally* went back to this game after a long break from Trails (got burned out by all the reading lol), and enjoyed it despite already knowing the events that occur due to the Cold Steel games taking place at the same time. Now for Reverie! 8.5/10
