There are many ships at the bottom of the sea in the Hebrides Weapons Range. The ships are stripped bare prior to sinking and create valuable "reefs" on the seabed. How do I know? I was partly responsible for putting one of them there. HMS Galatea in June 1988.

We used to have lots of them when we lived in Drum Brae North. It was probably the most common bird in the garden - loved sunflower seeds and the wild strawberries growing the garden. The second picture is a juvenile.
