Here is where it stops being funny. This is the archetype the furry fandom keeps failing: long-running actors who treat trauma and mental health as both shield and weapon, burn social capital, rewrite every departure as the other side's failure, then demand grace while the circle shrinks.

People like this need clear, early public warnings so the next group doesn’t learn the pattern the expensive way. The timeline already saw it. How many more cycles get politely ignored before the community stops treating it as private drama?

Decades of the same cycle—abrasive "authenticity," selective understanding, isolation framed as everyone else's moral defect—and the community still defaults to "give space" until the damage is already done. Pattern recognition is not cruelty. Refusing to see the pattern is.

And of course you clocked the person writing this as "Venture," threw in the Kiwi Farms flex, then announced you'd just block and move on because you "don't make time for assholes." The confidence was impressive. The accuracy was not. Keep guessing, Commander.

The sudden gratitude post naming Jaxie, Matt, Brett, Summer, Grey, and Raffy is the current survivor list. Everyone else already received the "they were never real friends / only wanted to take from me" rewrite. The continuity on this series is better than most webcomics.

Then came the classic pivot: "I'm autistic, mentally ill, in treatment, and abrasive, so go fuck yourself if you notice the pattern." That's not a defense. That's setting the house on fire and demanding the neighbors clap for the smoke detectors.

Nothing says "be better" like dropping a solemn anti-harassment lecture minutes after scrubbing your own "I single-handedly run the state’s apocalypse response" thread and while still wearing the face of the artist you already blocked. The fox is teaching ethics class from inside the dumpster again.

The callout on @slava.crossfox.party came after he deleted the thread claiming sole overnight control of the state's emergency response, AMBER Alerts, resource deployment, and evidence review while declaring "I do good." Public posts, no account needed. Negative replies to unrelated posts sealed it.

Block this account too. You've clearly had the practice. It won't change the fact that the common factor in every burned bridge, every "lesson learned," and every empty room is the same exhausted fox who's been performing "I don't need anyone" so long he forgot it was supposed to be a bit.

You're isolated from the fandom you treat like a failed marriage. That's not egoism. That's sadness that found a thesaurus. Nearly 30 years in and you still haven't noticed the only constant in every “people disappointed me” story is YOU. When does that realization finally hit?

You've been in the fandom since 1996 and still act like it personally owed you a parade. Now it's snowflakes and identity warriors who ruined your cool animal club. At 42 most people learn quiet disappointment. You're still measuring worth by calling people garbage for not liking dogs hard enough.

Those 5-6 "friends" you mentioned? They're just the ones who haven’t finished the paperwork yet. You've already written the post-mortem on every previous batch that walked. Common factor isn't bad luck. It's a recurring subscription to people who finally had enough of an insufferable fox.

You keep announcing how authentic and unmasked you are like it's a superpower. News flash: The mask was the only thing making you tolerable. Taking it off just revealed the guy who thinks "I have almost zero affective empathy" is a flex instead of a medical note.

The job claims are rich. You claim you single-handedly run New York's overnight apocalypse response, AMBER Alerts, and evidence review while everyone else sleeps. That's not a career. That's the origin story of a narcissist who needs the voice in his head to call him Commander.

You turned "I'm an asshole nobody likes" into a whole Stirnerite philosophy. Congrats. Most people just become alcoholics or get a weird hobby. You became a fox that learned to type and got mad the forest wouldn’t clap.

Had to quote-post this because you locked replies like a man who knows his personality is a hazmat situation. Saw the greatest hits across other accounts too. Consider this the intervention you didn't ask for and won't accept.

Thank you for the transparency, Eberra. It takes serious integrity to publicly admit when a piece misses the mark. The critiques were never personal, they are just about protecting the community from unverified financial and safety risks. Looking forward to the follow-up.

Local staff may not have emailed back, but *they*—assuming direct relation to the NY furgroups in question—have left explicit statements directly in your article's public comments. As these comments are live on Flayrah, will you be investigating them to balance out the coverage? Thank you. 3/3

Printing the organizer's claim that his local absence is solely due to religious observance—without local groups' counter-perspective—means a one-sided narrative became the published reality. Neutrality shouldn't inadvertently provide PR cover when backing fell through. 2/3

Appreciate the professional reply & venue update! But it highlights a tough spot: publishing the Brooklyn location as fact without verifying a contract feels like a double standard when safety concerns are held to a strict "no hearsay" rule. Both affect attendee risk. 🧵 1/3

Noting that major cons won't comment on bans should not shield an event from scrutiny. Hiding behind corporate privacy policies while ignoring local warnings provides PR cover to an unverified event. What is the ethical standard for vetting community safety here? 4/4

You framed the chair's local disconnect as him being an "Orthodox Jew" unable to attend "Saturday meets". Local organizers publicly state he was banned for harassment. Did you interview NYFurs or local leadership before printing this oddly one-sided narrative? 3/4

Your piece admits the con's "unnamed convention chair" financial backer "fell through". Targeting an expensive NYC hotel without an LLC or backing is a massive risk. Why did your reporting fail to scrutinize this financial red flag to attendees and vendors? 2/4

@eberrawolf.bsky.social Your article states that New Anthrodam will be in downtown Brooklyn. I have already contacted the venue—they have zero record of a block. Did you verify a countersigned contract or LLC before publishing this as fact, or just take the organizer's word for it? 🧵 1/4

I heard nothing. And no, I deliberately have not tried to DM them. When an organization is expecting people to commit hundreds of dollars to a NYC hotel and travel, those operational facts should be a matter of public record. Until they can publicly post the receipts, the silence is the answer.

Protect your data, protect your fall budget, and demand receipts before supporting this. We can only hope they plan better going on forward.

It has been two weeks since New Anthrodam’s Liaison publicly promised to provide basic operational details. Despite follow-ups, there has been total radio silence. A convention in NYC requires massive upfront capital and liability insurance.

Hello, just checking back in on this since it has been over a week. With the convention only six months away, a lot of folks are trying to finalize their fall budgets and travel plans. Do you have a timeline on when that write-up with the details will be posted?

I would like for a New York con to succeed, but transparency and safety is paramount before opening reg or collecting data. Proving the paper trail will definitely build community trust. Looking forward to some concrete updates so that we can properly support this! 7/7

Given the unconfirmed venue block, missing LLC, unconfirmed leadership, and the packed November schedule, what is the driving need to rush this launch in just 6 months? What is stopping the team from delaying to 2027 to build a rock-solid, legitimate foundation? 6/7

The calendar placement is also concerning for attendees' wallets. Being sandwiched exactly between Furpocalypse and MFF makes it really tough to afford NYC hotel premiums. Was this calendar crunch factored into the expected attendance and financial models? 5/7

The website is currently collecting emails but does not list a staff roster. There is heavy speculation that Kloree Stripes is the con chair, which has neither been confirmed or denied. Who is actually running this? An inaugural NYC event requires transparent, visible leadership to build trust. 4/7

I also could not find a public LLC or non-profit filing yet. Liability is a massive concern for an event this size. What corporate entity is holding the event insurance? I assume you would agree that attendees and vendors should be fully protected legally and financially. 3/7

The proposed dates are Nov 19-22. I reached out to the hotel to inquire, but they do not have any record of a block. In NYC, venues usually lock these in 12-18 months out. To ease everyone's minds, can we confirm if there is a countersigned contract yet? 2/7

I think many are incredibly excited about the prospect of the very first furry convention in New York City! It is a huge milestone for the local scene. But to ensure this succeeds, can the liaison clarify the following? 🧵 1/7
