Yeah the moment I heard Marc Merrill discussing the player numbers they apparently needed in order to profit from this game it rendered every other argument about what did or didnt go wrong moot. Those numbers were insane. Never going to happen. Doomed from the start. I'm still so mad about it.

Because it likely means my brain is playing and experimenting and if I just keep at it, it'll settle on what it wants. Time and spoons are naturally the bane of this desire especially when it's competing with writing time.

Ideally I want to get faster and cleaner at art and feel like I have a coherent style. The last time I felt like my art had its own consistent style was high school when I was sketching daily. More recently it feels like I get something different each time I draw, but that's probably a good thing

And his main arc trends to realizing his friends (Ekko, Lux, Jinx, Zeri, Sera, even Caitvi) already value and respect him and he doesn’t need to achieve the impossible for them to care about him even if they have funny ways of showing it (hi Jinx). He's probably my #3 favorite character to write.

Yeah I've definitely gone with him being (in my main universe fics) competent and skilled at being an explorer and genuine history nerd, can be very flippant and cocky but its masking vulnerability, takes a while to give a shit but once he does he's all in ride or die for his small group of friends.

I wasn't around for the IoW era and all my fic research has been the various short srories and such, had the impression he'd stayed relatively consistent character wise except in skinlines. What would you say out of curiosity were the main shifts in his character between old/Iow era and rework era?
