Japan does this quite frequently. I often say we need a real grocery store here (not the little pop up knock-offs or the sad attempt by 7-11) that does this. Caters to those who have little space and often just need one or two of a thing, or a single serving of liquids, etc.

Wait, you don't have one yet? From another one person, it's been super amazing all these years. Quarterly stock ups for paper goods ✔️ Solid stock of frequently used dry goods ✔️ quality meats to pop in the freezer for as needed meals ✔️. It pays off for real! (And Kirkland gin is legit!)
