Today commemorates the 1897 discovery that female Anopheles mosquitoes transmit malaria to humans. Despite this historic achievement, malaria continues to claim many lives every year. Through research, community action, and global cooperation, we can achieve a malaria-free world! #WorldMosquitoDay
