Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 22/09/2026The fourth paper is on Fregean inference. In my "Frege plagiarized the Stoics" I had a 30,000 word limit, and so the draft part on the similarities between Stoic and Fregean inference had to be excised. Recently I started completing a supplement to my plagiarism paper on this topic. (1/5) 170
Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 14/08/2026The third paper has been delayed but is now in press, so I add it here. It's more #Frege, this time w/o the Stoics, just Frege pure: “The indexicality of ‘I’: Recalibrating Frege’s Lauben passage” global.oup.com/academic/pro... #philsky details & link to author copy below. =>global.oup.com 1177
Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 11/08/2026And here's the second of my recent new publications (from April). Another paper on Peripatetic logic, "Sextus Empiricus on Peripatetic Syllogistic". It's really mainly historical. Beyond what it's title says, it offers evidence of a transitional period in later ancient logic. It's also open access. 150
Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 10/08/2026I realise I've been remiss in mentioning my new(ish) publications from the last 12 month, so will try & make up for this. First I have an open access paper in Phronesis, "Peripatetic Conditionals", on a topic in ancient logic that has so far been rather neglected. Abstract and link in replies. => 1123
Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Philosophy Journal AI slop question. Have any authors or editors encountered AI slop "Reviewer #2" reviews? I know they're out there but would be interested what the situation in philosophy is. I don't necessarily mean completely AI generated, but any cases which use AI to create review content. 211

Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 15/11/2024(For historians of philosophy) So, the "Frege plagiarized the Stoics" saga is still ongoing. You may remember: in the paper I promise details elsewhere why I reject that Frege got his knowledge of StoicLogic from the classicist Hirzel rather than Prantl. The promise is now fulfilled, link below. 1/6 1102

Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 06/06/2024My "Generic Solution to the Sorites Paradox" just came out in Erkenntnis (open access, link below). Essentially, I argue that the indeterminacy of vague expressions should be understood analogously to the semi-decidability of first-order logic. #philosophy #bluesky 170

Susanne Bobzien @susannebobzien.bsky.social · 15/01/2024Not a happy topic, but perhaps more people shld know at least the v. basics about the genocide in Namibia by the Germans in 1904-08.
