As a New Yorker 9-11 is just surreal and personal. Immediately thinking how they were going to fix that. The fear when the other plane hit. Not knowing if loved ones were Ok. The smell. Burnt papers floating across the East River to Brooklyn. Waiting/hoping to see if there could be any survivors.
