Bought a Sunday print edition of the @houstonchronicle.com while in Houston for a layover. Can’t resist a good Sunday paper when I see one! This was $5 and it’s a nice big bundle. My kiddo was thrilled there’s a comics section! 🗞️ #supportlocalnews

I ♥️ libraries! My local library gives away these free “protect yourself from fake news” bookmarks to anyone who wants ’em. Great tips on here.

A hand holding a bookmark in a public library. The bookmark says “Protect yourself from fake news. Does the headline sound unrealistic? Don’t believe everything you read. Check the url. Does it have any odd suffixes or substitutions? Check the author’s credentials. Skip anonymous news reports. Make sure the headline and/or picture matches the content. Consult and compare competing sources. Fact check stories with sites like Snopes, FactCheck, and Politifact. Dig deeper. Follow up on cited sources and quotes. Beware online ‘filter bubbles’ that show you only items that are similar to items you have liked. Be open-minded. Ask questions.”

Anyone having issue getting their data from X? Trying to close my X account this week. Requested my data and got an email from X that it’s ready, but when I logged in it says downloading data is “temporarily unavailable.” 🤔

Screenshot from X account information says: “Download an archive of your data. Get insights into this type of information stored for your account. X data. You can request a ZIP file with an archive of your account information, account history, apps and devices, account activity, interests, and Ads data. You’ll get an in-app notification when the archive of your data is ready to download. Learn more. X. The download of your data feature is unavailable right now. Try again at a later date.” A blue button says “Temporarily unavailable.”

Celebrated Loy Krathong 🪷✨ this weekend — my favorite Thai holiday! 🇹🇭💖

Several Loi Krathong lotus floats floating in a pond at night.
