Yes indeed. But I try to do a little something every time I come into or go out of a room.

Decluttering I think is the best way to describe it. Following through with the suggestions from the feedback.

Just received my feedback from @saranaidinecox.bsky.social the Cheshire Prize and learnt I made the top 100. Just making any kind of cut-off feels like a win. Now need to actually make use of that feedback. At first glance it all makes sense so excuse me while I get stuck in... #feedback #editing

After a couple of weeks away there's so much to catch up with that all I can do is study the weather forecast in case I need to go out.

I still have kale and leeks. We won't starve.

I think it depends on what stage you're at. If I'm on a first draft that's just stream of consciousness, I can be fast, but if it's the next stage where you fill in all the exciting scenes with the linking bits, that needs research and thought. Good luck however you do it.

For some reason I was tempted to reach for the red jasper. This is said to be a nurturing stone, which brings comfort and reassurance to the bearer.

Every year at Tai Chi Caledonia I make a temporary labyrinth and wonder if it's worth the time and effort. This year when I took it away, there was a path of flattened grass, showing how many people had used it. #labyrinth #Taichicaledonia #gratitude

I find I always have to go back and change the beginning anyway so I'm trying to write the first draft in scenes and do the main construction work in the edits.

All of the above. Our library is closing next month because it's been subcontracted to an organisation that hasn't managed it well and now says they can't afford to keep it open. We're fighting the closure but know we can't win.

I loved Mick Herron's Slow Horses and someone had given me the 3rd book, Real Tigers. But should I wait until I've read the second, Dead Lions, before diving in? #crime #reading

I know what you mean. Every book is about more than one thing. I'm waiting for gardening thriller, you know, something like The Polytunnel Mysteries. Who ate the daffodils? Who poisoned the paeonies? Any more?

Susan M Coon @susanmcoon.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Was looking to see what genre you're offering (I'm convinced nothing but fantasy is of interest) and it looks as though you've already published your books. Not being cheeky I hope but why would they follow you?
