The OASIS-4 clinical trial is studying elinzanetant, a new non-hormonal medication, for women who have HR+ breast cancer, or are at high risk for it, and are dealing with hot flashes and night sweats caused by hormone therapy.

Men who get breast cancer are more likely to have an inherited gene mutation than women who get breast cancer. For this reason, genetic testing for BRCA1 a&BRCA2 (BRCA1/2) gene mutations is recommended for all men diagnosed w/ breast cancer. Learn more about genetic testing: bit.ly/4amgGvv

GLP-1 use is rising but what about #breastcancer risk? Long term safety matters. At #ASCO26, Elizabeth Susan McDonald, MD, PhD reported GLP-1 treatment was associated with lower BC incidence in women, but clinical trials are needed to confirm a true risk reduction effect. @ascocancer.bsky.social
