I agree! I have a nurse who does my shots regularly, and she likes to take students with her to our appointments because i'm apparently good at responding to questions and sharing knowledge! I hope i've managed to teach them how to be respectful to people they'll meet🤞

Uolevi @surkea.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I've had multiple students in the room when i've had my T shot done, and most of them ask me questions about being on T, or how they should treat queer or trans patients. There's only been one who just sat quietly in the corner of the room, and I think I prefer them asking about stuff tbh :D

I can't stop thinking how wrong the tech bros have understood creativity and creators. Or even just having hobbies. #erliart

it's almost a year since my father died, and putting together this zine with the comics I made of it still feels like poking an open wound.. there's a lot of complex emotions tied to it all. i'd love to read your comic when you're ready to work on it!

Uolevi @surkea.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

there's a lot of death in this one too, but also stress, anxiety, depression, struggles, anger and MORE!!! ok also fun things I promise

I got banned from twitter in 2023 for this drawing. They called it "violent speech". It had over 40K likes and too many comments for me to read before my ban, but I still see it floating around here and there. Save a copy, and use it freely. No attribution needed. I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

I almost put some of the animes that "shaped me" but sadly the teenage me watched a lot of anime that is considered problematic these days so I decided to stick with the ones that i'm not too embarrased about...🫣

I watch a lot of anime but filling this I forgot every show i've ever watched... oh well! these are probably my faves since i've watched them over and over again

Taustan päällä on iso puhekupla, jossa lukee "Tampereen Sarjisiltapäivä". Puhekuplan alla on tekstit "torstai 15.10. kello 15-18, @ Sampolan kirjasto".

Sarjakuva saapumisohjeista Sampolan kirjaston Ritva-saliin.
Näin löydät perille:
Ensimmäinen ruutu: kartta Sampolan ympäristöstä, jossa näkyy esimerkiksi Itsenäisyydenkatu, Teiskontie ja Sammonkatu, sekä Sammonaukion ratikkapysäkki. Kuvaan on merkitty myös kirjaston sisäänkäynti. Ruudussa on teksti "Sampolan kirjasto on Tammelan ja Kalevan rajalla. Sinne pääsee helposti ratikalla."
Toinen ruutu: Valokuva kirjaston sisäänkäynnistä ulkona. Teksti: "kirjaston sisäänkäynti on pienessä taskussa".
Kolmas ruutu: valokuva kirjaston aulasta. Kuvaan on piirretty nuoli osoittamaan, mille ovelle mennä. Pienempi nuoli osoittaa hissille. Teksti: "Ritva-sali sijaitsee kirjaston kellarissa. Kulje etuovista suoraan eteenpäin, sitten ovesta oikealla puskan takana. Hissi K-kerrokseen on heti etuoven oikealla puolella.
Neljäs ruutu: Valokuva portaista kellarikerrokseen, sekä nuoli osoittamaan reittiä portaat alas. Teksti: "Oven jälkeen portaat alas".
Viimeinen ruutu: Valokuva lasiovesta portaiden alapäässä. Nuoli osoittaa reittiä oven läpi ja kääntyy oikealle. Teksti: "Alhaalla ovesta sisään ja heti oikealle. Olet perillä!"

I'm feeling ambitious but I want to get 2-3 new zines printed for Tampere Kuplii.. I have the material, so I just hope that I manage to save enough money for printing🤞 they're too long to print at home, our paper guillotine is too dull to cut them!
