One thing about Sid from Ice Age’s design that’s always minorly annoyed me is how he can bend his claws as if they’re his fingers. Like, that’s not how claws work…

Palm oil is responsible for massive amounts of deforestation/wildlife suffering. Easy to check/boycott products that have it. You might have to give something up (which is too much to ask of many people, which boggles my mind). They have plenty of alternatives that are just slightly more expensive.

Dolly said it best- "Animals bring joy, comfort, and unconditional love. They deserve to be treated like family." What better way to celebrate Dolly's legacy than to wrap up our amazing hay drive? With just $2,000 to go, we are almost there! donorbox.org/mmfs-2026-ha...

Animal facts that don’t sound true, but are: The emperor penguin is the largest living carnivorous dinosaur. There are 0 documented cases of a gorilla or orangutan killing a human. Boas like anacondas give birth to live young. A beaver is genetically closer to a human than it is to an otter.

An double standard in the sphere of zoology I’ve noticed is that while most people are able to grasp the concept of “cat” as a general term for members of the family Felidae,“dog” is usually assumed to refer specifically to domestic dogs…

Did you know? The extinct cave lion (Panthera spelaea) holds the distinction of being the only known species of the genus Panthera that was native to both sides of the Atlantic, its range stretching from Britain across northern Eurasia and then over the Bering Land Bridge to Alaska and Canada!

I’ve always found it a bit weird that the traditional term for a group of domestic sheep is a “flock”, like are they birds or something?
