SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Ive always wanted to go to GenCon, but it isnt for me. Its a celebration of capitalism and those who can afford to sign up for events and buy the newest games. Its less a celebration of games than i expected. Unless you know what you want, you get lost in "this is sold out" responses. Great... 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Watching some of my painting Idols do some painting together. #GenCon 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 23/04/2026Im making a video game. Its time to pursue a long time dream. I have a working prototype and excited to get started. Pixel art, chiptunes, all the mechanics i have enjoyed a experienced over the 36 years or so of playing video games. 010
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 03/03/2026Mordheim warband. I was in a rush to paint and play, but they look good for just a few hours of work. I played Mairenburgers. Having never played before, had a blast. Came 10/16 over 6 games. Ill tune up my team and keep playing. 030
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 03/03/2026Mordheim. There were so many cool tables at the convention. 040
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 28/11/2025Battletech Aces painted. Something simple as the yellow was done by my daughter (7) and we did it together without anything fancy. She did everything on her own except I cleaned the base rim. 1553
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 06/10/2025Snap assemble terrain for Battletech. I’m sure I could find other uses too. 0150
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 27/07/2025Took a Mini painting class. This was my model once we finished. #warhammer40k #minipainting 0252
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 28/06/2025I’m still painting. Also taking mini painting classes. This is probably the last model before you see new and better techniques from me. No highlights or anything, just needed it ready for Path of Glory game I already see improvements in my newer models in how I paint. 010
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 18/06/2025@nemfry.bsky.social I’ve been laughing at this image for two days. Thank you for this gem 110
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 16/06/2025Couple wip minis. The soldier is almost done, the hero on monster still needs fine details. I’m digging what I’ve done so far though 020
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 13/06/2025Taking my time building models for a path to glory. I have a color scheme picked, just need to get a good weather day for priming. Most of these were 2nd hand. I’ve been fixing them up. I still have 10 knights to assemble 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 02/06/2025Que with strangers in Elden Ring, get destroyed. Goes into rememberance solo to do quest, kills night lord without issue… …wat?! 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 22/05/2025It was a good deal. This model is so cool. Now I find myself building Age of Sigmar Chaos units 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 11/05/2025And I keep messing with them. Probably another 2 hours. They still ain’t even primed and painted yet. I hope the models get the same love lol 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 10/05/2025*buys a new box* “Oh boy! New toys to open, build and paint!” *spends hours on building bases* “Is this what autism?” 010
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 30/04/2025Got the urge to dig out the #AdMech. Considering repairing and repainting them dark grey instead of white. Doing so will take considerable time. Anyway, guess I’ll be working on some Warhammer 40K for a couple days 040
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 24/04/2025Cyber Krampus? Definitely an interesting one. Was gifted by our play group leader. Cyberpunk Red Combat Zone 020
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 22/04/2025Cyberpunk Red Combat Zone Gonks for my Piranha Gang. I have a bunch of other stuff for this game I’m slowly working on. It’s been a good time. 010
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 04/04/2025Cyberpunk Red Combat Zone Piranha Gang. Painted like the display cards inside the box. I swapped the head of the Blaster cause I don’t like Hockey Mask look. Also Raver does not come with Sunglasses on her head selections. 000
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 02/04/2025Cyberpunk Red Combat Zone Piranha Block Boss. I dig the models and used the cards as inspiration. Here’s the first one after touch ups. I’m up for criticism or improvements as I’m at a good spot to adjust anything on the others as well. 050
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 27/02/2025Couple mechs painted hastily. Spector for my mech company and a Summoner for an escort mission for said campaign. #battletech 0181
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 23/02/2025Hobby motivation comes and goes, but when my significant other says “let’s play Battletech” I almost always jump at the opportunity. My Warhammer and her king crab blew each other up with ammo explosions in the same turn. The only unit remaining was a single SRM helicopter. 0120
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 03/02/2025Blood Asp shut down, Kodiak in short range. That was an expensive mistake. I paid a hefty ransom… #Battletech 040
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Something I put together last minute, for a build I changed last minute. No thought was put into this scheme. 040
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 29/01/2025I never played with my first ever Battletech minis. So I built a tournament team to take to a local. I was still new to painting. I also made the thunderbolt cockpit mistake lol 3251
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 25/01/2025A week ago, I was struggling to get a game of Battletech. I put out the call Sunday for players to play regularly at my LGS. Now I’ve already setup a Campaign this week and have 6 Mercenary Commanders ready to compete in stompy robot action. Put yourself out there guys. #battletech 160
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Simple scheme I made to be recreated by a novice painter. They picked the colors and have great taste for mechs. #Battletech #miniaturepainting 0161
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 14/01/2025I had painted the alpha strike box in a way I could easily play with a beginner. Yet to even play with the models myself. Such is the progress of time. #Battletech 0162
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 05/01/2025Battletech stuff I’ve been working on. Well loved Dropship and more Liao Hussars for ilclan era combat. Didn’t know an Urbanmech could have a plasma cannon. 0130
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 31/12/2024I painted 91 Models this year. Most of it was battletech, but also had a few surprises including painting a statue of Jesus for my mother. Here’s some of my favorites that have not been posted here on Bluesky. #miniaturepainting 0181
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 29/12/2024@dicewyrm.bsky.social : “I can’t sell this, the seam line is too bad. Do you want this?” Me: “Noooo….” So anyway, I painted it. Lots of little mistakes, but it’s also the biggest model I’ve ever done. Had to turn my light box on the side. Lot was learned. #furry #furryart #miniaturepainting 142
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 29/12/2024Hinterlands Mercenary Campaign force I selected for Classic Battletech. WHM-8k TR1 Just a couple mechs I’ve already painted previously. I fully expect to come in last place on the leaderboard. #battletech 1201
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Tian-Zong painted like a Liao Hussar. I’ve a lot to practice on still to get better. What mechs should I pair with this? #battletech #miniaturepainting 0254
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 04/12/2024Little behind the scenes of my first idea for my Battlemaster and Wolverine bout to go fisticuffs. This was before I reposed and painted the Battlemaster like the box art. I’ll post more painted and finished minis soon as well as my year catalog of what I did this year here soon. #battletech 091
SurgeonFish @surgeonfish.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Tried to copy the box art. Still working on my painting skills too. #battletech #miniaturepainting 3495
