Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 28/09/2026For The Funny Pages exhibition, I designed a second poster with help from my friends at the Charles M. Schulz Museum, because a curated selection of Sparky Schulz's "Young Pillars" material will be on display for the public for the first time in 20 years. 17814
Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 27/09/2026"Maria's Book Ban" was a fun story arc to do and I hope you guys will enjoy reading it. I had this as something I wanted to do since the strip started going daily last year. Also, today's Sunday title panel is actually a homage to the book "Banned Book Club" by Kim Hyun Sook and @ryanestrada.com! 518636

Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 23/09/2026Sunday comics get printed much larger than daily comics but they’re still printed smaller than how I make them 1342

Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 23/09/2026The perfectionist barrier is something you simply have to push through. The sooner you realize starting out making "bad art" is an inevitability for everyone, the sooner you can start making stuff and get better. Here's two books I'd recommend checking out as a starting point! 060
Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 20/09/2026She's back after all these years! Bree Kay was a major character in my first comic strip Life With Kurami (like Ana and Kurami), but due to some creative complications was gone for a very long time. She's probably the most requested character to return. Hope you'll enjoy a full week with her! 917534
Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 18/09/2026I'm trying to do this approach more, but it's much more limiting to do in comic strip format due to space. But for strips that don't have a lot of dialogue I'll definitely work it in. (love that you're sharing your work tidbits!) 1151
Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 18/09/2026Little Rosebuds fact: The reason I don't use periods to end sentences in Rosebuds is because that's what Jim Davis taught me, which is something he was taught from his time working on Tumbleweeds. I use periods if a speech bubble has more than one sentence. 429443

Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 13/09/2026The reason why this happens with newspaper comics is because the black and white drawing layer and the color layer are two completely separate files and get printed one over the other. Sometimes something will get misaligned in the printing stage, thus causing the "color offset" effect. 931275

Suprdee2 @suprdee2.com · 09/09/2026The Funny Pages exhibition is a genuine labor of love. Indiana has so much major creative ties to the comic industry that is quite often overlooked. So many people have come together to help make this happen. I hope you guys will consider coming October 2nd - October 31. 28116
