Getting the watch to be recognized by Xcode for deployment took hours of frustration 😅 I’m not deep enough into functionality to know more than that.

Here comes the watch extension for the fasting app.

Hey @abausg.bsky.social would you like to join us on a Flutter Space sometime soon to talk about widgets on Android and iOS, as well as your home_widget package?

Making progress on the #SwiftUI home widget for my #FlutterDev fasting app. Using home_widget to update the widget from flutter.

I’m not sure. Sounds like some kind of Pub issue. static_shock is a package. So it’s platform agnostic. And I’ve only ever used the CLI on Mac.

Yea I’ve written a few. Need to look them up to remind myself of the specific use cases.

Continuing with my UI work and validation for my @FlutterDev fasting app, I added a debug option to generate fake fasting history. With that I can verify the fasting history UI.

How is the native UIScrollView notified? The response you linked mentions view insets and those are definitely available in flutter. They’re in media query.

Matt Carroll @suprdeclarative.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

I still don’t understand the “why”. That response mostly focused on bottom insets in scaffold but you can turn those off. Why doesn’t it work as expected when you choose not to resize?

100

Matt Carroll @suprdeclarative.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Does it? It takes a ScrollController, and handles gestures on the "thumb". But I don't think it listens for scroll wheels across its entire area...

Matt Carroll @suprdeclarative.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

Does #FlutterDev have a widget that forwards mouse wheel scrolling to a given Scrollable, e.g., into a ScrollController? The goal is to capture a mouse wheel scroll anywhere on the screen and forward it to a Scrollable that doesn't take up the whole screen.

I also have done a lot of business fixing up Flutter apps. I agree on this. I also warned them. Rather than discuss the points, or learn from what I've seen in client code, they ignored me and pushed on. The Flutter org hears you when you praise their plans, but tends not to when you critique them.

What's the best cross-posting app these days? I don't intend to spend much time on this platform, but I'm willing to cross-post here. Also, how are we tagging Flutter things here? Is it @flutterdevofficial.bsky.social ? Or #FlutterDev? Something else?
