Breaking: Reflecting Pool Vandal Checks Out Work! 07/22/26-Immediately following the departure of Metro Police who had been providing areal pool protection, the culprit snuck behind the obelisk, disappeared, then came in low and slow in front of the Lincoln before landing on Penn. Ave. & escaping.

My picture, My Caption:
He was returning from Georgia, when he came back around, and was low over pond and right in front of the Lincoln, I was all the way down by Pond, on a wall, and was the closest person to him, maybe 300’ along a sightline.
I put phone down and pumped double birds at him for his whole pass. Marine One looped around and landed at the WH.
We had been in DC for 45 minutes and I told my wife I was ready to go home.

I guess that, even when the SoH is fully functioning, there will be a new normal for gas prices that will include the tolls in and out (paid for protection of vessels) and also include the (now) higher insurance costs.

I grew up here, near DC. I’ve never, ever, seen this few a number of tourists. Can’t blame people for not coming, though. Trump has ruined everything around here with: DOGE cost cuts, Closure of green spaces , Freedom 250 bullshit, & NG troops on the street. What a failure! Go die, already!
