I think the alcohol problem in football isn't in the stadiums anymore, they're full of tourists and middle class that can afford it. The problem is down the local pub getting tanked up then going home to abuse the family. Even at the world cup the problems were in fan zones not stadiums.

I work in social care and each resident pays £1300-£1800 a week. That's not cheaper for the service user than an in-sourced council run service would be because 60% of that goes straight into profit. The reason councils choose private is because there is no state infrastructure to choose.

There are so many interconnected parts to this too. Lower wages = poorer living conditions, more likely to get sick and need healthcare. Lower wages means less disposable income to float the local economy, poorer service causes unrest and resentment creating the environment for fascism etc etc etc
