I will call him Captain Overpants

Super Mecha Dad @supermecha.dad · 30/09/2026

Give me ripped hoodie era Ben Reilly and handle it like Veep: Peter is always just out of frame, with Ben dealing with C-tier villains like stilt-man and the beetle.

Capcom *swears* that Jin isn't just Domon from G Gundam with the serial numbers filed off.

Skybreaker Magnus is *very* similar to CW Magnus, at least at the engineering level. Obviously it's much nicer in pretty much every way, but the mechanisms by which the cab semi-detaches and the legs/arms fold together into the trailer are extremely similar.

I'm not 100% sold on the Astral Rally #Blokees defenders, but they are pretty neat. Lots of pegs and hidden joint connectors means you can easily swap parts and customize load outs.

Appreciate that they based the design on John Vanquish, from the classic Platinum Games game, Vanquish

They're going to put Thor in there and it'll be Throg.

I love how much better the gundam helix looks in "traditional" colors. I don't love that's it's limited to the special edition version of Rogue Orbit. I'm sure it'll be an unlockable skin in the game too.

Fine, but can I swap out... Age of Extinction for the Beast Wars Special compilation movie where Primal teams up with Lio Convoy?

I spent way too long trying to figure out which one of these I had as a kid but I was mistaken, it was a LIGHTNING STRIKE BATMAN, not one of these. DIFFERENT STRIPE PATTERN.

I've been on the fence with Shield-D Prime for a little while, even as a big Diaclone fan. As far as official releases go, Probably MPG-17 for the "premium" lines and Big Convoy for the mainline:

It's sad that TFC clearly lost the mold for their legends-scale version because it's fantastic.

Super Mecha Dad @supermecha.dad · 07/05/2026

They've vaguely evocative of the 90's x-men cards. IIRC the variant covers they did for the From the Ashes relaunch in 2024 were a pretty big hit and this is expanding on that.

Tons of greebling, great paint and tampons, and diecast joints that feel great in-hand. Bingo Hertz (Strafe) is everything I love about MP-scale toys.
