A shame the main show I can't find AS GREAT a quality as the first 4 OVA episodes. But fuck. This shit is still good though regardless. One of my few criticisms of Gunsmith Cats is that it only had OVAs AND a manga. No tv show. What the hell? 😭

Animation quality is great as usual. The pacing is very good. I enjoy even when Syr and Bell are going to the Goddess Festival. Not as epic imo as Season 4 but Season 5 felt quite meaty to me. I give it an 8. Imo.

The thing that impressed me the most was just how, both. Depressing oppressive and. Satisfying it can feel. The duality of the situation. And, how Syr needs to understand Bell isn't owed to love her back. I think it's cool what they did. Even if it made me not like Freya for a while.

In big anime series like super bosses imo. Any moment where you're making the illusion of a main character having plot armor. Not that every fight in a series needs to be big, but. If you're emphasizing scale I like it to feel truly HUGE. And scary. Ya know?

I can only sympathize really so far with Freya tho. What she did truly was horrendous. And I'm glad the series punished her for such a sin. I don't think forcing love onto others is romantic or healthy. Especially not at the expense of other's choice to not or to reciprocate.

Ngl, whilst Freya as a character is really good I'm kinda surprised they went this route. Where Syr, Horn, and Freya are all the same in a sense. I love the season tho. Really good drama. Trying to keep everyone in Orario in an chant spell is crazy tho.

Ya know, kinda insane how really good and consistent Danmachi Season 5 really is. It's my 2nd favorite. Bell I felt bad for in the first half. And it was the arc where Freya as a character pushed my patience. Don't get me wrong. I get the arc is criticizing her. So it's not a criticism.

Ridge Racer 2 I think of as a sweeter pie deal ofc. You get more cars, more music. Frankly, Ridge Racer 2 isn't really a sequel. It's an expansion pack. Like, F-Zero X N64 DD stuff. So I call it Ridge Racer Deluxe.The Ridge Racer Collection was excellent. Truly an amazing preservation of these games

Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer 2, (Well basically the same thing) I thought were excellent. The arcade and PS1 version. I enjoyed mastering the one course it had. Pretty fun imo. I give it a 7.

I think it's easy in fiction (and yes, I do think it affects how people are able to look at the reality of deep excruciating pain) to judge a character for not being perfect. I tho, enjoy morally gray characters tbh. And implore fiction to talk about what do you do after tragedy strikes you?

Season 4 of Familia Myth made me realize I felt really sorry for Ryu. Even though on the spectrum of fictional morality in the show she sits in the middle. I don't believe she ever tries to justifies all her actions. Even if they rooted in pain. But, it reminds me of a quality Obito had.

It's what I think about when I say cowardice destroys a hero. Being brave isn't about worrying about the consequences like a war. It's about doing the right thing because you have that conviction. Seeing the humanity in the prostitute and wanting to rescue them is honorable. Noble.

Enjoyed how Bell despite being insulted by the Ishtars. He "couldn't save Harumi." outta thinking he was a weak boy unleashed the Argonaut in him. I love his fundamental arc in this portion of Season 2. He's not a coward. Even if he thought "Prostitution destroyed the hero." at the beginning.

Season 2 I enjoyed the war stuff. Hestia, Lili, Ai Wallenstein, and Bell are characters I enjoy rooting for. Pretty cool show. Just, why didn't they shorten it to "Familia Myth"? "Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" makes it sounds like harem anime or hentai eroge stuff. In reality no.

I'm gonna give a shout out to Familia Myth. With one of the worst localized titles of recent ish anime. I don't think the show is like a masterpiece or some ambitious Fantasy anime. But I enjoyed what I saw of it. Season 1 was really good imo.

There is something super wholesome about Familia Myth I enjoy. Even when they're in a Bath House and enjoying warm waters hearing Bell talking about his comrades in a nice and touching way is very nice. Bell very much is the opposite of "Taking things for granted". Even when he wins the war game.

Judging it on it's own merits it's probably my favorite NES RPG. Simply because I think there's a lot of thoughtful moments like breadcrumb as a mechanic. And, routing is the most flexible of the 3. Also. The famitrack original music is great.

Worth noting on my watch for Psycho (1960). It is a movie from the 60's. And you might not think it's the scariest thing ever. Idk. But, I thought it held up generally. My dad was bored. But, I liked it. Very suspenseful. I think the ending twist was very well foreshadowed.

I prefer the idea in art in general to present characters that are imperfect. Not because idealism is necessarily a bad quality in writing. But because I find the more human the character is, and the more tragic. The more that'll work on me as I get older. Like Spike Spiegel.

Also like, upon reflection for a proper replay. Sure. The localization is far from perfect. There are occasional grammatical errors. But, I don't find a lot of the localization like. Disrespectful. Because Mother is so American. That Eagleland satires America.

I would say it's not necessarily flawless. You might have some occasional dislikes depending on your taste. Like the Monkey Side Quest. And the Swamp's slow speed. They don't bother me that much? But, I get if someone didn't like em. I just think, "This game is fun as fuck imo."

I should finish it tomorrow. But, I know it's for me, a great game imo. A great replay. Some of my favorite pacing in the franchise. Sure, you might have a few slow moments here & there but I never tend to find any of it to bother me. The idea of this "needing a remake" is kinda whack to me.
