Tricking my brain into practicing backgrounds by inserting my OCs into them. Artheus be descending a staircase at his university somewhere. Included the reference pic as well. #sketch

Sketch of an anthropomorphic canine with big ears descending a Gothic-style staircase. He is gazing out of a large window with mullions/tracery.

I tried to find a source for this image, but it only came up on Pinterest :/
It depicts a Gothic-style staircase and window from Knox College at the University of Toronto.

A masc outfit I designed for God's daughter, from the book that I'm writing. She wears this somewhere around chapter 16? I haven't gotten there yet, but it's for a fancy dinner event. #furryart #sfwfurry #furrywriting

Digital art of a cartoon character with a sigil-shaped face and small antlers. She is wearing a sleeveless suit to accommodate the jagged crests on her arms and elbows.

First attempt at acrylic gouache, it's that one background from Over the Garden Wall 🍂 #otgw #cartoonnetwork

A painting of a forest scene done in black and white acrylic gouache. There is a pond in the bottom left corner. The focal point is the patch of lighter-coloured grass directly next to it. In the actual animation, there is a character sitting here, but I've only painted the background.

I've been receiving very kind feedback on my novel WIP that has made me wonder if it is possible to traditionally publish an adult book with anthropomorphic/furry characters. The fantasy of it is fun, at least. Gotta finish more drafts first, though 😌 #writingcommunity #writersky #amwriting

Quick designs for Artheus's cousins, Brett and Lars, because they appear in the latest chapter I wrote. Brett is the youngest and nicest one. Meanwhile, Lars is mean and throws Artheus to the ground lol #furryart #furrysfw #projectmartyr

On the left: An anthropomorphic rabbit with a white muzzle, grey fur, and a missing tooth.

On the right: An anthropomorphic cat with a white muzzle, dark ears, and striated fur. Regrettably, he has Dreamworks face.

There are so many bots (I'm assuming??) in the writing tags on this site, it's unreal. "i do beta reading, cant wait to read yuor book" You sure, lil' buddy? You sure, my guy? (they don't know i'm writing a freaky asexual furry manifesto)

Artheus smokin' in a chair. Main character of the novel I'm working onn 🌿 #furryart #furrysfw #furrywriting #projectmartyr

A stylized anthropomorphic jackal with incredibly long ears sitting in a chair and smoking a cigarette. He is wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt, slacks, and dress shoes.

My latest chapter critique was so wild, I got two completely different takes this time around. 1st guy: Loved it, said it was publishable, and to hit send 2nd guy: Not enthused about the concept or characters, referenced the "6 7" meme in one of his comments ✨ the duality of man ✨

There are so, so many poorly-written romances that get the spotlight in book reviews that it's made me wonder if there are any good recent releases out there. Surely, at least one? (Currently writing an asexual romance and trying to research the genre ahaha)

I love love love writing descriptions for furry characters, you can get so creative with how they're perceived, which adds that much more to the narrative voice. #amwriting #writersky #writingcommunity #projectmartyr

A traditionally-drawn bust of an anthropomorphic rabbit in a tailcoat. His uniform is pale blue, with horizontal black and white bands down the front.

A screenshot of an excerpt from my WIP novel, Project Martyr. It reads:

At that time, while the bells dutifully tolled their way up to ten, a guard came to fetch them. He was a young long-eared man, mostly white-furred, save for the patch of black covering his ears and the upper half of his head. Looking as if God Herself had held him upside-down and dipped him in ink, it pleased Myra to imagine him being dunked a bit lower and drowned there instead. Then she wouldn’t have had the displeasure of knowing this sorry excuse for a devotee, who took no pride in his gift, having messily stuffed his grey pants into his knee-high black boots – so at odds with his crisp tailcoat. Trimmed in black, the standard Innortias-blue uniform hugged his broad chest, as did the alternating horizontal black and white bands on the front. He stopped a few paces away from the group.

“Ladies,” he said, bowing more deeply than necessary. One of his light blue eyes winked at them. “Sorry to keep you all waiting. My name is Feliks. Please, right this way.”

Concept sketch of the Reverend fighting a huge demon (she's going to one-shot this thing). I'd like to redraw this either digitally or in a larger sketchbook, there was not enough room for more detail :/ #furryart #furrysfw #projectmartyr

A traditional sketch comic of my original character, the Reverend, facing off against a huge demon. The demon is a shadowy creature with a cat/human-looking skull and in the first panel, it looms over the Reverend with a sinewy, branching tongue extending from its mouth. The second panel is a close-up of the Reverend's face. She's smirking, because she is about to easily kill this creature with her staff.

Forever saddened that the Age of Scorpius drama has soured the idea of paracosm fiction for other people. I'd love to see more stories about authors' paracosm worlds, provided that the logic/lore is explained and intelligible to the audience.

Almost done with Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation! I've been having a lot of fun interpreting Area X as a regular, natural process of earth reclaiming humanity, though it seems like the anomalies are meant to be pure cosmic horror. Next read is probably Piranesi by Susanna Clarke 📚 #booksky

From left to right: my fan character, Captain Piper, smoking a pipe. Gruntilda, as she appears in the first game. And Weldar, wearing chunky 70's-styled glasses.

I don’t “network,” I make friends. Other artists are not my competition, they’re my beloved peers and sources of inspiration. We all have the same goal; to share our art. I’m not gonna corporatize my human relationships with them. I am in my sandbox playing and I hope they join me.

Throwback to the year I drew 5 billion robot sharks (this is still one of my favourite things I've ever painted) 🦈 #banjokazooie #n64 #shark

A comic about the sharks/fish from Banjo-Kazooie playing DND together.

First panel: Clanker, Gloop, and Roysten are staring unamused at the camera.

Second panel: Snacker is grinning wickedly back.

Third panel: The scene pulls back to reveal the interior of a sunken pirate ship. There is a portrait of Kaptain K. Rool hanging askew on the wall. Kleever is also on the wall. Leaky has been stacked on top of crates and treasure chests, serving as DM.

Clanker: "Could you stop staring at everyone like they're your dinner - for five minutes?"

Snacker: "Make me, freak. It's not my problem you made friends with snacks."

Fourth panel: Clanker smiles smugly, his disembodied head rendered like the dialogue in the game.

Clanker: "...Yeah, okay. Except at this point, you're friends with them, too. Even though you've been really creepy about it."

Fifth and sixth panels: A montage of Snacker following the others around the reef and into the pirate ship.

Seventh panel: Gloop sticks his tongue out at Snacker while Clanker delivers the finishing blow.

Clanker: "You follow us everywhere, barge in here uninvited...ADMIT IT! You wanna hang out and play this game with us!"

Snacker: "I DO NOT."

Eighth panel: Snacker frowns back.

Snacker: "I'm just waiting for you to slip up so I can get a good bite. That's it."

Clanker: "Sure it is."

Snacker: "Shut up."

Ninth panel: Snacker picks up the DND cards on the table and starts looking through them. Clanker smiles as he does.

Snacker: "...So how does this work, anyway? I gotta make a character or something?"
