It was parasitical resistance, not just to platform hospitality, which is how l often approach things, but through parasitical resistance to the hype of the event - itself a platform - that we were participating in. I think we succeeded in testing the limits of an event that had transformed into a kind of spectacle about ethical Al. The organizers were never outright hostile and many of the other volunteers were extremely enthusiastic. But the top organizers of the conference never said a single word to us - and we were not invited back.

Was awarded an Sfilm grant today for a short film I’m directing. It’s about two people with an erotic fixation on the invisible algorithms inside cameras. Artist Liza Shkirando is one of my collaborators on this wild project. That’s all I’m going to say at this time, go back to sleep. 😴
