Artists, post your range for the fun AND for the thrill

A display of keychain/acryllic charm concepts featuring the Archdragons of Xadia, from the Netflix series, The Dragon Prince. On the top left is a double-sided concept of Sol Regem, one side being bright golden and red with a scowl. The opposite side is dull, scarred, and grimacing. The next on the top right is of Rex Igneous, curled around with a carefully judging expression. The bottommost concept is of Zubeia, a double-sided feature as well. One side features Zubeia with open claws in a gentle, motherly "hug" gesture. The opposite side is of her cursed, sick form. Her claws are now open as if to strike out at something, and she is growling at the camera.

A digital, half-body drawing of a cat. The cat is black and white on opposing sides of its face, with bright green eyes, nose, and freckles. There are two glowing green horns atop his head. He's looking behind him with a snarling expression, claws outstretched in front of him, with flames collecting on his tail. The background is rippling green, with a black speech bubble that reads, "Oh, yeah? You and what toaster?"

This was my first model in fact haha secondhand has become cheaper for sure! It served me well enough. They'll last, but be careful if youve got pets (a tiny scratch is enough to skew the way it registers the pen, unfortunately... ask me how I know)

Shoutout to this piece from 2024 where the sheer presence of wings defeated me xd (for context, it's unfinished because there's 4 more wings that aren't drawn)

A digital drawing of two anthropomorphic snow leopards with varying levels of creaturism. The largest is a snow leopard gryphon taur, who is cradling a smaller snow leopard with vibrant white wings. The gryphontaur is preening the snow leopard's wings, though the snow leopard looks remarkably unhappy about it.

This is one of my favorite parts. I thought it'd be clever to transition from my heavily stylized Kajsa design, to my more casual, 'normal' Kajsa design vvv

I've officially reached probably the max amount of projects I can reasonably work on at once, so I'll likely be making a small disappearing act while I chip away at them + schoolwork. Excited to be working on a Warriors MAP part for the first time in years ^_^ it'll be a refreshing throwback

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

And that's.. that. About a week of work, and something I am both proud of and excited to have brought to life. It taught me a lot about letting go of details and simplifying things down to get the best impact. That everything doesn't need to be a picasso, to be memorable. Feb 07 -> Feb 13

A screenshot of the folder of files that make up this animation.

A screenshot from Discord exploring the concept of the animation. The messages read as follows:
this with all of the displaced Vanir, ending w Stigr who never can return home
Lord I'm 500 miles from my home...
Stigr on the ground after losing his wing

500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles
Various shots of Stigr in his youth, playhorsing with Baldr and Ragna etc

Lord Im 500 miles from my home
Closeup of (BTSW) Stigr's face, haunted and weary. Red feathers brush up against his and zoom out to show Valdis brushing up against him comfortingly.

110

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

And finally, I wanted to at least acknowledge the peace that Stigr finds, despite being isolated from where he grew up. We have Valdis nudging him out of his stupor of overthinking the older days & the horrors he's seen. This shot was a BEAST to tackle, including NINE separate assets for each

1176

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

THIS. This was actually the FIRST shot I animated for this whole project. This was what convinced me that seeing it through to the finish was feasible for my skill level. I love, love, LOVE getting to really focus on the conflicting emotions in a character's expression.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

In contrast, one of my favorite sequences: I will NEVER pass on the chance to animate siblings being siblings. I know in my heart that Ragna was the mischievous one.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

And Istra and Istren as little kits embraced by their parents; part of their one-like backstory explanation mentions how their parents were killed, and that that's why they had to raise themselves, so I wanted to feature when the family was together, alive, and happy in contrast.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

Moving onto Dagr and Einarr racing each other 😭...

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

Starting from this shot, I worked backwards from the priorly shown characters to parallel their scenes to happier ones of their lives on the Isles from BEFORE. Here's the winderost gryphons fishing and swimming (and shooing off a pesky seagull!)

230

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

[ CW: non-graphic blood and dismemberment ] Now. When I first knew I REALLY wanted to sit down and animate to this song, I intended it to be more focused on Stigr alone. The proceeding shots after this one were going to be all about Stigr's backstory. You will notice this is not the route I took.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

I probably could've chosen a more distinct example for the line of "four", but nothing else came to mind than the vanir who ended up seeking refuge on the Winderost, only to have to make unclaimed and unlivable territory their new homes. The gryphs featured aren't anyone in particular, in fact are

110

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

Again, I knew I wanted to feature Einarr's family since the initial brainstorming phase. It felt perfect for the line about being "-three". I tried to capture, vaguely, their reactions to hearing of Einarr's fate. Dagr's gutwrenching sadness, Eyvin, a grieving mother, and Vidar self-blaming.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

I knew since I got the concept in my head of working on this AMV that I wanted to include Istra and Istren. For some reason, they were two of my favorite background vanir characters whose story was told VERY briefly, but was so heartbreaking to me that it stuck.

130

Rita!! @superboy.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

I didn't initially want to include Ragna, as I wanted to focus on the Vanir that were displaced from their home, however my friend Eddie posed a good point that both her and Shard were put out from "home" in a grander sense of the term. They both still lived there, but not exactly LIVING..
