I use a mobility device I've named Peggy to get around since I broke my foot and can't put any weight on it. Peggy got her first tattoo today.

It was such a delight to spend last weekend with the participants of @BitrigApp hacks! I was so inspired by the ingenuity from all the teams. I may have been hobbled by a broken foot, but the joy I witnessed more than lifted me up!

I have a broken foot but not a broken spirit. Like the elder millennial I am, I wasn't going to miss Bowling for Soup! The lovely staff at First Avenue (Prince's nightclub) reserved two of the very, very limited railing seats for us so I could sit and elevate! 💜

Last week I broke my foot. This has been (and will be) a tough time for someone as active as me. I didn't listen to my body telling me to chill, and a stress fracture just 💥. This forced slow-down, inconvenient as it is, is actually helping me reset. My view for the next [who knows] weeks!

What's a cool 17K race, dressed as the boat's spare parts, between friends on an early Sunday morning? (We were a wingnut, a bolt, seat wheels, and an oarlock spacer with a wrench on our stern.)

We stand by our quad, each of us with a “spare parts” tank top and wearing our part on a hat. A wrench is affixed to the boat.

My hometown's county fair exhibits a train from 1901. No one was monitoring this giant wrench that leaned casually against the steam engine. So I thought it imperative that I find out what it tightened. Goddamn thing must have weighed 50 pounds.
