Yes. In fact, it's one of my main disappointments with getting in shape, and I can't tell if it's also just because I'm getting fucking old. I can definitely "go longer" on hikes, walks, biking, etc. But my energy throughout the day is actually worse, and after 6+ years it hasn't improved..

Many stories and thought pieces start with "What would happen if you or your partner shrunk?". Not many go into, "What would happen to the relationship by day 30, 300, year 5?" I wouldn't trust my partner to keep a semblance of balanced dynamics. Do I trust myself? Sobering to consider.
