rachel @suom.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Everybody around me at the screening were on the edge of their seats and as soon as the movie ended EVERYBODY was talking about how much they loved Rocky 010
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 21/03/2026also the dune chant is SO FUCKING LOUD in IMAX. I'm so excited 000

rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026Even tho they put the spotlight on a lot of winners in underappreciated fields, they haven't shown enough respect just yet. Stop cutting off their mics and playing music over them. 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026Shout out to Diane Warren for losing for the 17th time in a row. Her reaction is priceless. Can we get it to 18???? 001
Reposted by rachelDiscussingFilm @discussingfilm.net · 16/03/2026Sean Penn joins Walter Brennan, Jack Nicholson, and Daniel Day-Lewis as the male actors with the most Oscar wins at 3 each. See the full winners list: bit.ly/OscarWins26 017922
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026A lot of my Oscar predictions were right, and even some of the ones I thought wouldn't win but wanted them to DID end up winning which is awesome 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026I really loved the graphics they had when presenting categories and nominees. And that they played clips and showed the creative process behind what you see in the nominated movies. That's probably my favorite part of the whole show 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026Conan is great as the Oscars host. A lot of his bits were fun and didn't feel like they dragged the show, tho I feel like he had less of a presence compared to last year’s show. At least that meant more attention to the nominees and winners 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026A lot of interesting things happened this ceremony. Two horror performances won acting Oscars, there was a tie for live action short, PTA won his first ever Oscars, I felt there was a lot more respect for the technical categories and their nominees/winners too, which I thought was great 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026A lot of the bits were solid, and there were a few good ones. Poking fun at Adrien Brody’s long speeches was hilarious imo 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026I like a lot of the winners, there were a lot of women and people of colour who won, and their speeches were really great. Tho i don't like how many times the mic was cut off during the show 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026The guy didn't campaign at all, showed up to nearly none of the precursors and was nowhere to be found at the Oscars, he won anyway because everyone simply loved his performance in One Battle 010
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026Sean Penn is a very outstanding actor, I’m mixed about giving him a third Oscar, especially when he clearly doesn't care about them. But tbf it’s quite cool to have a performance that wins solely on merit 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 16/03/2026I’m satisfied with most of the wins, except sean penn that one was kinda lame 001
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 02/03/2026I'm so excited for hoppers and I’m really glad people are loving it! I’ve had my eyes on it for nearly a year already and it focuses on concepts i've been near obsessed with for about 10 years. I’m so excited to finally have a high-quality movie about it!! 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 23/02/2026I lowk love this awards season. different people won each precursor and a lot of the main categories don't have clear frontrunners. actually pretty exciting leading up to the oscars 000
rachel @suom.bsky.social · 03/02/2026the music in ne zha 2 is even more underappreciated than the movie itself the soundtrack is such a banger 000
