Made a small complaint about Resonant lacking some of the Remedy absurdity/charm, but it turns out the tail end is absolutely spring loaded with it. And in a very poignant way that serves the narrative, too. This game is wildly interesting.

Just did the Alfred the Cat quest… I realize this is a drama-oriented game, but I have been missing some of the patent Remedy absurdity going through the main quest. They really delivered with this one though. Easily my Game Of All Time Of The Year.

I go through periods of hyperfixation on two different things at once sometimes, which happened the first time I played Monster Hunter: World and simultaneously went through a Joanne phase. My sensory memory has permanently linked fighting Nergigante with Perfect Illusion, and vice versa.
