Something about the bird’s color and position on the tree reminds me of people’s pet birds, like the way they look or hold onto their toy ladders and things, even the color on the top of the woodpeckers head, something about it.

Thank you.I think she might have been ruffling up feathers to keep clean or keep other birds away from nectar. I think they’re migrating to Mexico & Central America so maybe tired too. She smoothed her feathers out after the photo. I have a feeder with nectar out to help them on their journey.

This sweet bird showed up & said hi today. I thought it might be a wren or summer tanager. Internet search says it's an Indigo Bunting! I'm so surprised. It's a pretty bird & so sweet with the loveliest voice. #birdoftheday #indigobunting #arkansas #birds

Carolina locust (maybe). I'm not sure.I'm trying to identify it. from a library book.It reminds me of an alien movie alien. It flys a little & when it does it looks a bit like a butterfly for a second or two. #insects #carolinalocust #insectoftheday

grasshopper shaped body with camo brownish colors and antennae and all over a beige brown. It's wings are kind of lacy looking, sort of.

That’s a special color sky. Does the sky look like that in Ireland a lot? That’s a beautiful blue.

A butterfly came today & let me take photos of it. I thought it was migrating & came to say bye.I said I love you, safe journey. Then it flew around my face in swirls & landed on my glasses. It stayed until I took off my glasses.I now know it’s not migrating.I think I photographed this one this summer.
