Some early rendering work on the partner character for sundouser, there's a lot of fixes that need to go into this but! It's progress for the first time in a bit. I burned out pretty badly at the end of August and it's been slow going but I'm feeling better so I'm ready to get back to work.

The gamut work put me through recently had me very close to giving up on life when the sleep issues hit, legitimately stopped going to the gym or cooking or doing game dev. I'm happy to say that this week I've mostly corrected that and I feel pretty much the best I have in months.

I wrote the beginning and ending parts of an idea (and kind of a lazy placeholder bridge) a couple weeks ago while I was at the peak of my depressive episode, idk what you'd call it but just playing with broken chords on piano for a bit and liked how it sounded. The loop isn't bad, the bridge is.

There is kind of like a problems solving see-saw that I wonder if I'll ever get better at where it's like -> Problem Identified -> Steps Identified -> inevitable difficulty solving problem or kink in design -> other side of problem where suddenly everything is easy again.

Sundouser progress has been pretty slow, but I'm picking things back up slowly. Unrelenting car stuff and some other bodily factors like learning the hard way what plantar fasciitis is have put a damper on my overall creative energy. I'm hoping to start routining the 2nd secret boss this week.

The hardest part of music, I think, is not even really the writing the song part, it's getting parts of it to hook together without sounding like two distinct different songs. I've been learning a lot about key and beat changes the last week.

Legitimately one of the more bizarre stressful dreams last night. Dreamt I was streaming like FF14 to a huge audience and my family (Who I haven't seen in 8 years at this point) just kept interrupting everything with weird shit. I also slept for 14 hours in the last 24 🥴
