This was written on the wall by someone at the Yoko Ono exhibit at the Broad Museum in LA. It’s interactive and you can write on the wall. It felt so appropriate for the times we are living in.

This is the first Christmas Rainbow I’ve ever seen. I pray it’s good a sign for what’s to come after a rough 2025. Sending you all happy holiday wishes and here’s to a great 2026

The moral rot from our leaders is overwhelming and demoralizing. That said, take a break and go out into nature and enjoy the summer. The fat lady hasn’t sung yet on our country. We will continue the fight for democracy.

Cambridge Dictionary definition of Concentration Camp: “ A place where large numbers of people are kept as prisoners in extremely bad conditions, especially for political reasons. Example: nazi concentration camps.” Let’s call these “centers ” what they really are.

As someone living in Los Angeles, I hold onto this quote by MLK: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

We need a law that makes members of Congress pay for their own healthcare. They get Cadillac health plans courtesy of the tax payers yet begrudge tax dollars spent on healthcare for the poor. They are greedy, immoral freeloaders and we the people deserve better.

“The words of the prophets are written on the subways walls.” I took this while driving deep into the San Fernando Valley. It was in front of a homeless encampment.

I had to look this up because it just couldn’t be true. No one could be that cruel. But low and behold the Dept of Homeland Sec. is considering a reality tv show where migrants compete for citizenship. They are unwell. Gee- I wonder who is going to host it?

I feel good about the new Pope. The U.S has lost its way and I’m hoping the Pope can inspire love and unity. We are a country starved for honorable leadership.

After the Pope died, MTG posted: “Evil is being defeated by the hand of God.” Are you freakin’ kidding me? Everyday, there is a new low.

Make sure you are prioritizing your mental health during these chaotic times. The chaos is designed to overwhelm and wear you down. Get outside and move. The outdoors is the antidote for anxiety.

Benjamin Franklin famously wrote: “It is better 100 guilty persons should escape than that one innocent person should suffer.” We are losing our way.

If you love Old Hollywood like me, check out the Smoke House in Burbank, CA. Its retro vibes make you feel like the rat pack is hiding in a corner booth drinking martinis and smoking.

The stock market is tanking. Our 401ks are cratering. Chaos and uncertainty are the only certainties right now. But hold on…. I am reminded of the saying: “when in doubt do nothing.” Don’t panic and don’t sell. Stocks will bounce back.

Happy St Patrick’s Day! My Ireland born grandmother used to say: “beware of those kissing the church steps” and “don’t let the devil in the house, he’s hard to get rid of.” This advice is as relevant today as it was in 1890. Ireland forever!

Wake me when 2025 is over. This is how my year started—On Jan 10, 2025, this was the view from near my home in Los Angeles. Now I know why the indigenous people called the Santa Ana winds the devil winds. They were an ominous sign for what’s ahead.

Make sure you and your kids read 1984 and Frankenstein. Brush up on your knowledge of the French Revolution and WWII. It’s all there-just history repeating itself. If the only way out is through, then education will be our guiding light.
