Destroying records are we, Mr. Deusericus? (That "Deusericus" is just casually in my autocorrect is terrifying lol) #ffvii #finalfantasyvii #crisiscore #lazard *blows a kiss to all the Lazard Fangirlies*

Blond man with disheveled hair in a pink shirt and purple pinstripe vest, burning documents page by page from a bound report. He is backlit with a marble plinth carved and gilded with his company's name.

So ya, found an old pic from 2001 and @theattackbox.bsky.social said "you know what this means." And i was like "I don't think its a good enough concept to redraw" while the geas constricted around me and the revised image blossomed in my mind. It turned out a *leetle* different.

Blond man against a blue sky (that looks more like camo because it was drawn by a sixteen-year-old in 2001), wearing a black leather motorcycle jacket and adjusting his glove. Signature date is from July 2001

I finally finished FFVII:R2 yesterday and...

It's #PortfolioDay, the first one I haven't missed by like 24 hours! Everything for this year is still in progress, so here's some faves from the past year

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Man, I hate trim. I could *not* get the bottom center front point to miter. Gotta still do some handsewing to do to finish some spots, then the eyelets (I got the wrong size rip)

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 30/03/2025

Chaboi's still got it. (Not shown: the lining and boning. I think the lining is about to disintegrate) I've got trim and eyelets left.

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 29/03/2025

Ok, alright, that looks almost intentional.

Center front of a bodice using a recycled obi as fabric. A diamond pattern almost perfectly crosses over the center seam, making it look like I actually know what I'm doing.

Pray for me. I feel like I'm desecrating an historical relic

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 29/03/2025

Pattern layout following grain. The gradient will be yellow center to orange sides. I can try and find a repeat of the pattern, but it'll be flipped ☝👇 The side and center back can be either the facing (more orange silk) or I can go org to yellow.

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 29/03/2025

Pattern layout following the gradient. See how the bodice pattern falls off? I can unpick the seam allowance, but it's only about a centimeter extra on both sides.

Linework done! I deserve an award for the number of hands drawn AND whatever glitch was keeping me from loading images from desktop.

Detailed line work of a demin-winged elf man reclining on a throne. He has a dagger held casually in his hand and he's judging you so hard right now

Do you ever dissociate while listening to a program metal playlist and wake up a few hours later to your oldest OC on the page? Yeah, me neither

Sketch of an elf man with demon wings, reclining in an invisible (not yet drawn) chair, his face has a sneering grimace on it as though saying "that's pretty fucked, buddy."

Without downloading any new pics, where are you mentally:

SunlitRiddle, attic hag @sunlitriddle.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

an attempt was made. Lazard Deusericus from #FFVII Crisis Core. On the second pic, I definitely took some liberties with his clothing because I wanted him to wear a 3-piece suit. This is for all the Lazard fangirlies out there, all three of you lol.

Lazard Deusericus from Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core
a blonde man with glasses sits in front of a monitor, he's wearing a dark purple pinstripe suit jacket and a lighter purple silk cravat. He has his white gloved hands folded and resting on the desk. He leans forward slightly, certainly about to make you an offer you can't refuse.

2024 art wrap-up Had a surprisingly good year for art. I didn't end up doing one per month like I'd hoped at the beginning of the year, but I did quite a few, and some of the best stuff so far. (Not to say I didn't have some absolute stinkers, for the record) Here are my favorites for the year

Zack and Aerith from Final Fantasy VII, Zack has Aerith lifted, supporting her in crossed arms and hips pressed against his body. She is upright so they can look into each others eyes. They are backlit by stained glass set in grey stone walls.

Reno from Final Fantasy VII. a red haired man leans against a pillar or door frame, lit cigarette in his hand. his other hand is in his black trousers' pocket, his white shirt is unkempt. He is backlit by a street lamp, the broken rays of light streaming through smoke or fog.

Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 in his Infantry uniform, struggling to lift the Buster Sword. The background is of steel pipes and gathered wires suspended by chains from the ceiling to invoke imagery of a cathedral's vaulted ceilings. The overall lighting is a dark green of an aging mako reactor, except for a brilliant blue-white light coming from Jenova’s room off screen. He is looking directly at this light, and the ones within, with righteous rage and betrayal.

a drow with long wavy silver hair backlit by an orange moon and starlit sky. He has scarlet eyes- far too many of them- arranged in a spider-like way; his mouth is replaced by fangs and pedipalps. One hand is covering half his face, fingers laced in his hair, the other hand is outstretched as though offering something. Contrary to his cursed visage, he is nonthreatening, even friendly.

Quote with a title screen that is iconic to you. The color and light transition from night to morning was so effective that 14 year old me could practically feel the dew.

Spotted April 6 on I35-E in Dallas, near the Hilton Anatole... where a few anime and/or game conventions have been held, including Quakecon and A-Kon. There's now one even closer to where I live. I think they're hunting me for sport.

So, I forgot to post it here... this is a real billboard in my town. Saw this on a drive back in April and absolutely got jumpscared.

Billboard against a cloudy, springtime Texas sky

Close up of billboard. Left third is a picture of Tifa and Yuffie, the rest of the sign is blue with text that reads "seize the awkward.org Embrace the uncomfortable. Talk to your friends. it's totally worth it." The logos below text are unclear

I want to play Rebirth, but it's not here yet. I'm denied normal forms of brainrot to avoid spoilers because the algo can't tell the difference between Classic and New. Do I distract myself with completely unrelated media (vidjya gaem) or do I sink into the bog of fanfic and steep

Well shit I thought I'd posted it here already. Anyway, Zack in SOLDIER dress uniform. Based off of Heidegger's coat because of course that self-important boar would wear a dress uniform all the time. (Originally posted on Dec 18, 2023 on tumblrdotcom)

All this VII:R2 hype has me feeling somewhat insane. I've always made weird connections out of nothing (an opera house out of a mound of shit, someone once accused). But to see something like this? I feel like I'm gaslghting myself, like did I actually see what I thought I saw? This time, yes.

I finally finished the cover for my fanfic, The Muddy Inbetween. archiveofourown.org/works/24111241 I haven't updated since 2021, but I have like 27+ chapters to revise before I can post it anywhere.

Cover art for a fanfic "the muddy inbetween". "The" and "inbetween" are in black stencil font, with "Muddy" interjected in a handwritten font that looks like a dry pen. Zack, the main character, stands with his hand on the Buster sword's hilt, the sword is planted vertically in front of him. The pose is similar to the official cover art for Crisis Core. Behind Zack are Sephiroth and Genesis, both with black wings. Behind them is Angeal, lit from above, the light blowing out the whites of his own wings.

#ffxiv art #ffxivwrite 2023 It's that time again! Congratulations to WoL Augustine Bishop for winning this year's FFXIVWrite art prize. As usual, I went a little overboard. You hand me an Ishgardian and I can't NOT be a little extra. Apologies, I am very bad at tags and alt text.

Fantasy setting, night, human man sitting in heavy snowfall, the light seeming to come from a bonfire. He is considering something, his breath steam that lightly obscures his face. The image is black and white save for his eyes which are heterochromatic green and blue.
