The time to change the only power outlet in my room ~~and hopefully not get shocked in the process~~ has come (it’s been failing for a while and today finally died)

My R36S arrived! It comes with an old version of ArkOS instead of EmuELEC, so it's a good clone and modding potential looks good.

I ordered a R36S handheld from Ali but it'll likely turn out to be a clone. All that's left is to hope it's a good clone :blobcatgooglynotlikethis:

Damn I REALLY broke my ejabberd server when I moved it to podman, unmoved it and now everything works :blobcatsweats:

Now that UT2004 is available through the OldUnreal installers I gave it a go, and unfortunately Killing Floor Mod (and maybe other mods too?) doesn't work with the native Linux version. Oddly enough, it DOES work with the Windows version running on Proton :akko_derp:

Yesterday my phone's WiFi suddenly died and would overheat and reboot after a while if left it on. I feared it could be a hardware issue but today almost by chance I tried wiping the cache partition in the recovery and that did the trick. Crisis averted :blobcatsweats:

Latest Forgejo (v14.0.0) doesn't start with custom locale, guess I'll skip this one :senkohmm:

Every new year I've been posting this image joking that I did nothing but waste my time last year, but this one I won't. For some reason it feels 2025 was kinda productive? so there's hope 2026 will be the same or better. RE: shrug.pro/objects/b6c7e694-ce36-448…

With the current price and availability of RAM I probably should be glad to still use DDR3, but for some reason those are also more expensive now (albeit slightly) :blobcatgooglynotlikethis: Guess my 12GB will have to do for another year.

Ok I gotta rant about this because it’s 4am and I’m kinda pissed. I upgraded Nobara 42 to 43 (basically Fedora 42 to 43) and unbeknownst to me, this also upgraded Postgres16 straight to 18. They skipped 17 and this made upgrading dbs way more annoying than it should be […]

I played around with XDP yesterday and locked myself out for a few hours. That was fun :haggard:

Turns out Alma and Rocky installers don't support btrfs, so in the "not worth even trying" pile they go :blobcatflip:

I think the time to nuke my Windows partition has come. Might use that extra space to try out AlmaLinux :renge_shrug:
