I’m also not using her as a human shield. 🤣

Life has a way to throw a wrench in things. I’m now raising our 9 year old niece. And every day I’m like, am I raising a child correctly? And then I see Elon and I immediately feel better about myself.

Today I sold my Tesla Model 3. It was the last link between me and Tesla, as well as the closing of a significant chapter of my life Many of you probably don't know this story, so I'll share it here, partly to process the personal significance of this, and party because I want people to know 🧵 1/17

I’m at the office, but will be leaving soon. I probably should take the 15 home.

Final leg back, we are finally home!

Charge info at El Centro while we had a snack at Taco Bell and Starbucks for the road.

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Reached our last stop, hopefully, at El Centro, CA. Was able to get the only spot that was a pull in, so didn’t have to unhook the trailer.

Charging info at Yuma, AZ.

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Tesla navigation forced us to stop at Yuma, AZ. This is pretty much the last stop before El Centro, CA. I had to unhook the trailer again. Second time around it was quicker.

Charging stats at Dateland, AZ.

McDonald’s for myself and the kid. Amber got Taco Bell.

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

After grabbing food, quickly drove to Dateland, AZ since they have a charger if you have a trailer.

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

First charging stop, Gila Bend, AZ. Arrived with 16% on the battery. Gonna grab lunch while we charge. Unhooking the trailer was rough and annoying as it was heavy.

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Last week when I did this trip, it took about 6.5 hours, starting the trip at 46% and stopping at 3 superchargers. Today I’ll be starting with 61% and will be driving 55 mph on the interstate.

When I got my Model Y two years ago, I imagined using my hitch to transport bikes. I never thought the first time I used it was to transport things from Phoenix to San Diego.

Continuing our Christmas tradition of drinking wine and watching movies. Watched Elf, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and now watching Die Hard.

What a wasted effort in OT. 10 of the Vikings points came from botch special teams play. Delay of game in OT doesn’t help. There’s sparks here and there, but the mistakes are killing them. #ChicagoBears

The amount of times I’ve seen the football hit a Bears player on a punt return and turn it over. Special teams unit need to practice how to get out of the way more. Like, if you aren’t going to return the kick, run the hell away. #ChicagoBears

He percentages past 40 yds is also terrible. So it’s actually worst field position on a missed FG than an incomplete pass.

100

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Vikings challenge Bears catch. Vikings blocked Bears FG. Bears pass interferes Jefferson. Vikings gets TD. That momentum swung quickly in the other direction. #ChicagoBears

000

Sunil @sunjo31.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

At this point, #ChicagoBears should just go for it on 4th down if it’s going to be over 40+ yd FG.

Season 2 Episode 6 (Fishes) of The Bear was probably one of the most stressful episodes I've ever encountered. Jamie Lee Curtis, Jon Bernthal, Bob Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson...the acting was so good...I need a drink now.

I was always able to few the expiration date of my supercharging miles. I don’t know when this happened, but the date no longer exists. I had to find an old screenshot. That seems a bit deceiving.

Doing a mini-wine trip on this long weekend. I had some free supercharging miles expiring, so purposely didn’t charge at home.
