i feel like mihoyo's reluctance to have big poofy skirts really hurts their ability to have cute female character silhouettes. every female character has her bare legs out with a coochie flap that barely covers her crotch which is great for some characters and terribly unfitting for others

Working on a full overhaul of my site's CSS (which most visitors will barely notice because the goal is for it to look more or less the same) swapping from relying on vw/vh to using these newfangled clamp() calcs + design tokens, and wow, gotta say, CSS has evolved SOOOOO much since i first started

okay my opinion on The Character aside, Nihilux's eng va is so good lmao i absolutely love who they picked for her. she sounds so normal woman i could befriend. it's really such a shame that her character is like that. and her real playable design is so fucking ugly

pretty much all of the characters i really wanted voiced eventually got voiced except for Tokiko, which is so fucking awesome Nanami Asari ended up being one of the biggest winners i think, Morgana is one of my absolute favorite songs from the franchise and it's very much her song :D

that said, after the 11th anniversary celebration ends, i'm probably going to finally uninstall deresute. the game is in maintenance mode with no foreseeable updates, so it's truly time to say goodbye. i don't actually think i'll be replacing it with a new game because i just don't have the time

obviously newer games have higher fidelity models, better physics, etc... but i honestly think their aesthetic sense still isn't as good as deresute's was at its peak, which accomplishes much more artistic value and expressiveness in a much older engine, and runs on beautifully on older hardware too

deresute's been out for 11 years now, and many other fancy new gacha rhythm games have come out since then, but to be honest, even playing the other newfangled ones (shinysong, umamusu, etc) i still think deresute looks and runs way better, which really goes to show how cutting-edge deresute was.
