#artyear #mkrsmARTch #d&d #dungeonsanddragons This goofy hand felted set of Dungeons & Dragons characters fits the #felt prompt for today’s #makersmARTch. It was made as a gift for the dungeon master of our group.

#mkrsmARTch #mArtch #MakersmARTch #Paint #Acrylicpaint #Artyear #Artshow My daughter painted this peace flower many years ago in art class. It’s still one of my favorite pieces of art.

This is a painting of a large sun flower. The flower petals are painted to look like different flags from around the world and children of different races are sitting on the leaves of the flower.🌼

#mkrsmARTch #MakersmARTc #mArtch #wood #ArtYear #photography I enjoyed staining and building this Ashford Kiwi spinning wheel from a kit. Learning how to spin has been a bit more of a challenge! They say practice makes perfect. In this case practice makes really ugly yarn. 😬🧶

This is a picture of a castle double treadle spinning wheel.

#mkrsmARTch #mArtch #MakersmARTch #ArtYear #photography For those who love #beads - if you are in the Ashville area, there is an awesome #bead store called Cherry Tree Beads in Swannanoa, North Carolina!

Many bundles of strung beads in an assortment of colors and sizes are laid out over the tops of old wooden supply drawers.

#mkrsmARTch #mArtch #MakersmARTch #beads This is a #woven seed #bead bracelet being made. Bead weaving is a great creative outlet when you just need a quiet moment.✌🏻

This is a photograph of a bracelet being created out of seed beads. A partially woven seed bead bracelet is on a gray felt mat with white and red seed beads scattered around.

#Scape #landscape #photography #mountains #ArtYear #artshow I got this photo flying over Girdwood #Alaska. The waterway cutting through the middle of the picture is called the Turnagain Arm. ✈️🏔️❄️

A snow covered mountain range with a dark colored valley in the center of the picture. In the valley is a town called Girdwood. Girdwood is a fun place to visit for amazing views of the mountains and the Turnagain Arm, hiking, skiing, spa day, and gold panning. The resort in Girdwood, called Alyeska, has a restaurant called 7 Glaciers. I’m not sure, but I think several of those glaciers, that you can see just a bit of from the restaurant, are the big snowy areas of the mountains in the foreground of this picture.

#RockinTuesday #Photography #naturephotography #Rocks This is the blow hole at South Point on Big Island, #Hawaii. It could have been a better picture but refused to get any closer to the edge! 😬

A big hole in a rocky outcrop, looking down into a cavern filled with frothy ocean tide.

#FebruArty #pair #ArtYear #jewelry #handmadejewelry #glassart These fused glass #earrings were made with a red and orange glass as the base and fused with a clear dichroic glass for a bit of silvery sparkle.

#Scape #landscape #photography #waterscape #ArtYear #artshow This view comes from the deck of an Alaska Marine Highway ferry crossing Prince William Sound from Valdese to Whittier, #Alaska

A above the flat horizon, the top half of the picture is distant snow covered mountains, blue sky, puffy, white clouds, and the sun partially obscured by thin clouds. The bottom, half of the picture is dark aquamarine calm water with a hazy reflection of the scene above.

#FebruArty #orange #ArtYear #glassart #glass This little fuseworks craft kiln introduced me to the joy of melting glass. I don’t use it much anymore because it only has one setting - hot, hot, hot!

A little peek inside a glass fusing kiln while it is firing small glass pieces. The hot red/orange elements have turned the glass pieces inside to a glowing dark orange color as their sharp edges have begun to melt into smoother curved edges.

#februARTY #eyes #ArtYear #fruit #color #bskyart #photoshopart #photomanipulation #photoshop #digitalart #digitalartist #digitalartwork I created this picture with Clip Studio using free stock images and my own photo. I’d say you were the apple of my eye… but you get the point.😉

This picture is a close up view of three individual eyes with thick black lashes from top to bottom. Each eye has a different slice of fruit imposed over the Iris and pupil. The top eye is a slice of blood orange, the middle eye is a kiwi slice, and the bottom eye is a watermelon slice.

The #JanuArty prompt today is #vegetable. Really?!! Well, okay. These #peppers are the whole harvest from my #garden last year.🤣 I’m not a very good gardener - but they were pretty and soooo spicy!🌶️

A small green jalapeño and a small red pepper sit next to each other on a white piece of paper. They’ve have been very thinly sliced.

For #JanuArty #opposite day I had a little photo shoot with my #dogs. They’re very good boys! Bear is little and young and Wally is huge and old. Can you guess which one is dominant?

A big old 125 pound light brown dog is sitting next to a tiny young 7 pound black dog. They’re sitting in front of a piano and a guitar.
