Bought a Switch lite to repair and tinker with a couple weeks ago. Quite a few spots of corrosion on the boards and the display wouldn't turn on. Got a new display but still nothing, the backlight circuit is shot. Think it might be cooked but have to see if I can patch it somehow. It looks rough...

Close up shotof display backlight circuit. Corrosion around some components and a broken trace near black andwhite antennae connectors.

Took me nearly 3 months but after about 3400 resets I got the partner cap pika. Glad to get this one before Bank shuts down but still need to get Type:Null before I'm done.

Tried looking up a griddle controller for some info and the first result was my own workplace lmao. I'm lowkey tempted to see how hard it would be to make a led conversion board but might have to start on something a bit simpler...

Finally had the motivation to finish off another piece. I just needed to do the legs and it took months... But hey, it's done! This time I increased the canvas size and used a few more colours. Fairly satisfied with how it turned out, def getting better as I go along. On to the next piece!

I was thinking similar. They probably don't have a pre order system in place. Hoping this one sticks, need to find another one of I can.

Finished the Xenoblade X epilogue last night. I really enjoyed it, the new lore had me so excited. At this point I don't see how they couldn't do some kind of retelling or remaster of the Saga trilogy. Very curious to see where the series goes next. I love this wild ride.

Yeah, pricing sucks. Games being even more now is not great. I understand people being turned off from this whole thing. I still plan on getting it because I'm in a situation where I can, but man. Gonna have to be more selective on which games I want going forward.

This is Mr. Goose. He was told that cheeseburgers are fast food and eats them accordingly. 13/10

a slightly horrifying yet equally fascinating blur of a black dog reaches with his mouth for a cheeseburger that's being held in front of him. his white eyes look wild with excitement, and his teeth are deceptively long with the shutter speed. we hope that burger is everything he hopes it would be.

One beautiful April morning
I played the 100% perfect game of Melee.
Tell you the truth, it was not beautiful
There were dropped combos and missed techs
There were SDs and missed inputs.
And yet, in all its ordinariness,
It was nevertheless perfect.
Because we played it together.

My big project: The Death Generator. It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything. deathgenerator.com

The Mario 64 intro scene with a letter from Princess Peach, reading:
Dear Mario. Please come to the castle. I'm down bad. Yours truly-- Princess Toadstool (Peach)

CATS from the video game Zero Wing (the All Your Base Are Belong To Us game), saying: "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is Futile"

Dracula from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, saying to Richter "Get out of my house"
